I purchased a year ago already. I cannot be happier with this one. I connected it to my central speaker and the difference was huge. Better sound overall with less volume. Im thinking of buying more to support my other speakers in my setup, all purchased at BestBuy.

Ordered Rel T/9X in “Open Box, Excellent Condition” which is supposed to come in the original retail box, no cosmetic issues and with all the original accessories included.
Bestbuy, blatantly, sent me a floor model in a card-box without any cushion or proper wrapping, which arrived with all the corners of the product broken, dents and scratches all over the place including the subwoofer cones. And all the accessories and power cable are missing.
Called the customer service three times, visited two stores, but, no one at “WorstBuy” takes responsibility to replace the item I ordered.

Fantastic subwoofer for high level connection. Not the typical bass beasts, T9X provides controlled bass augmenting the main speakers, making music enjoyable at even very low volume level. It is tricky to get the placement and level/ cross over settings right, takes some serious effort in that area. I have it in stereo sub configuration, and it is far better than a single T9X. My main speakers seems opening better at mid and highs with the dual sub setup. Recommended, especially if you can grab one at the sale price! And finally don't under estimate the capability of these, they can really shake the ground with right setup.

Sub sounds incredible. It takes a bit of tinkering to set the levels correctly.
Set you receiver to LFE + Main
Use the receiver auto correction without the speakon high level connected to set LFE.
Use the speakon cable connected to set the crossover at 30 Hz and bring up the high level knob until it blends with the speaker volume.
Finally bring up the crossover until too much muddy and back down to until you here clean bass.
Once setup it sounds great for both movies and music. The high/ low speakon really extends the front speakers. I tested down to 5 hz!!! Could see the front cones move 5 times a sec. Too cool!!

This is my 2nd T/9X and I’m very much impressed by the speed and soundstage that these subs bring to my speakers. I’m sure there are bigger bass sounding subs out there especially at this price range but if you want a true musical sub Rel deserves a look.

I bought this to complement a golden ear passive sub. I really wanted audiophile speakers instead, but my room (and wife) just wouldnt allow it. The sub did help, but its a little too powerful for this application and i had to turn it down. Still, im glad i bought it.

Hooked it up and played a couple of The Who songs. Thought for a moment Kieth Moon was beating me about the face with his drum sticks and kicking me in the forehead. Coupled with Mcintosh MA252 and Klipsche Forte IVs. Monster created.

This sub is great for pairing with other speaker to get the full range of sound. This is a completely different way to think of subs.
I do not recommend this sub as home theater sole sub. It struggles with the lower frequencies.
