When I bought my Galaxy Tab A8, I didn't order the accompanying cover because I thought an older cover I already had would fit, but it didn't. But by the time I got around to ordering the cover separately, the genuine Samsung one was no longer available, so I had to get this one. It's a tight fit, but it does fit once you get the hang of how to insert the tablet, and unlike comments by other reviewers, mine stands up the tablet with no problem and the camera opening is in the right place. My one complaint is that the opening for the headphone jack is just a little bit too small, so if I want to use an external speaker or plug it into my car audio, I have to remove the tablet from the case. Aside from that, it's okay, but next time I buy a tablet, I'm going to get the genuine case at the same time! (Note that when I say "yes, I recommend it", it's only because it's the only one available, not because it's great!)

It works and protects. Has only one angle upright which is okay.

I like this one for adults but not for kids, they would just rip it up. I use the folded back to stand the pad right side up for easy viewing. Its sleek and looks great and has no tears after a years use of reading and travel. It doesnt cause the pad to be water proof sealed off etc . its just a nice protection for the body and screen and manages to hold it upright for you on a solid surface once you figure out how to fold it up . wipe it down easily and its pretty durable .

Easy cover to open and close to protect my tablet. Picture is true to color (if that is as important to you). Fits snuggly.

This "SaharaCase - ONLYCASE for Samsung Galaxy Tab A8" was delivered recently to my home in good condition. I fitted the Case on my Tablet and the Tablet is working OK now! .... But the "Frustrating Story of my journey todate as the Owner of this Tablet and Customer of Best Buy is worth sharing with potential Buyers/Customers of the Samsung Tablet from Best Buy! My current "Happy, all OK" stage was reached only after many weeks of frustration of not being able to even "Open and Activate my Tablet!". The New Saharacase (the Package says: "ONLYCASE For Samsung Galaxy Tab A8" ) in fact, was a "REPLACEMENT" I had to get for the first INSIGNIA Case sold to me at the Store itself a few weeks back (INSIGNIA Universal Flexview Folio for most 9" TO 11 Tablets with Adjustable Corners) The Best Buy Sales Staff were, as usual, very courteous, professional and helpful. They and I felt that the Case did appear to "FIT WELL" and I paid for it and left the store. As it will be made clear below, it turned out later that the Insignia Case sold to me was NOT suited for the Samsung A8 Tablet I got from Best Buy. With that INSIGNIA Case, I often found that I could not even activate the Tablet or keep it "OPEN" even for a second or two once activated!) Thus, I could not get to even see the "SETTINGS" icon and then to even download "SMART TUTOR" and use it to get "Remote Samsung Tech Support". I very patiently putup with it for some weeks, I tried o figure it out myself and was frustrated because I could not even "Activate/Open" the Tablet; In fact, I even thought that perhaps the Tablet sold to me as "Open Box - Inspected" was in fact was a "Lemon" (DEFECTIVE) and/or Best Buy's "Inspection Process in itself was inadequate or not properly carried out" by Best Buy Tech Staff!. Finally, I took the Tablet to the Best Buy Store and explained the problem. The Geek Sqaud Staff assured me of the "Quality of Inspection and Certification" done and stood by it - BUT ALAS!, when the Geek Sqad tried to open and use the Tablet, they also faced the same problem I had faced before taking ithe Tablet to the Store! They could not "Open and keep the Tablet Activated' either! Then, I, though not a "Techie Geek" at age 87+, shared my own plausible theory related to "Why the Tablet is NOT Working Properly! ". During the many weeks I was frustrated with the "Non-Working Tablet", I had, through my own "trial and error", noticed one "Strange Aspect": the Tablet beginning to Open Up and Staying Open for a short period' when the Tablet was kept "UPSIDE DOWN!" - "EUREKA! ...I told myself!: The Tablet, much like iPhones, PC Monitors etc., are built with the feature of "Touching/Sensing" mode to make it easier to use and to make it more functional! I felt that the 4 sides of Case itself was ALWAYS touching the surface of the Tablet when it is kept "Face Up" and thus working against the switch to "Open and Activate the Tablet"...and when the Tablet is "Face Down", the Case does leave a tiny gap (due to the weight of the Case sides and gravity?) and thus does not hinder the process of "Opening of the Tablet and keeping it stay open" (TILL THE TABLET IS PUT FACE UP!) Soon after I demonstrated this "strange" aspect of the Tablet to the Geek Squad Staff, I removed the Case and then we were able to use the Tablet with NO problem! Yes!, the Geek Sqaud Staff were equally thrilled and happy that we did finally find out for sure that there was "nothing wrong with the "Open Box" Tablet and the problem was strictly due to "Ill-Suited Insignia Case" ! I ordered for the NEW SharaCase (ONLYCASE For Samsung Galaxy Tab 8) and since it was out-of-stock then in the Store, I opted for later home-delivery. I got it recently and put it on my Tablet and it is now working OK too!. ...and, as the good Old Shakespeare's saying goes: "All's Well That Ends Well" is true even today when it comes to getting the "Wrong Universal Insignia Universal Flexview Folio for most 9"to 11" TABLETS!... or better yet, please allow me to say ( at age 87+ and in English Foreign Language to boot!) in American English: "FOLKS!, ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL!"! ..including the Universal Flexview Folio for Samsung Taablet! P.S. This is NOT a Complaint about the Sales Staff of the Best Buy Store...they just checked the SKU Description and had no reason not to believe the "Words of Description by the Manufacturer of the Case located in a "?? Foreign Land and English is a Foreign Language to them!...ha! ha!

It's a simple black case. It folds for horizontal use. It's lightweight.

Thisis undoubtedly the absolute bestg protective cover I've ever had. It folds nicely, allows use of the camera with no problem and gives decent protection when I dropped the dang thing. Not only that it doesn't disappear in shadowy areas like a darn dark one does.
