I use it with an iPad Pro and it's plenty fast for everything, even video editing. The incredibly small size makes it super portable. Really, this drive is pretty much perfect.

When I travel I load this usb-c drive with podcasts, movies, books, and documents. I have an extra one for my smartphones that doesn't have a SD card slot. This help me to avoid my phone memory getting full and lagging when I need it the most. I always pick these up on clearance or sale. I use them for gift baskets and stocking stuffers.

I've been able to connect it and transfer files reliably to a Windows PC and Galaxy S9 phone, and while the transfer rate wasn't as fast as advertised on the PC, it's because the PC only has slower, first-generation USB 3.0 ports so I'd expect faster performance on a more modern PC. The entire outer housing of the drive is made of plastic, and while it's flexible rather than brittle, since the USB-A connector is also made of this plastic (the USB-C connector is metal), I've been handling it gently. I would not want to leave this tumbling around loosely in a bag or drawer where something heavier might crush it, and I'm being extra careful when inserting or removing it with USB-A ports. I'd have given this 5 stars if not for the plastic USB-A connector.

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially purchased the SanDisk thumb drive to record HDR videos on my iPhone 16 pro. it worked great initially but over some time the USB-C stick wore out and I didn't even use it for long. I would say I got about 20 uses out of it. the only way I can access my stored files at this point is by using a dongle that allows me to hook up the USB-A side. it's a little bit disappointing because I didn't have it for long and I thought $256 gigs would be all I needed. the product was a little bit sturdier I'd be happy but I can't say I am currently the fact that it doesn't work.
