Huge upgrade from my Beats Studio Pro wireless headphones. With these I am able to listen to non-compressed lossless music. I did find that these headphones need a bit more power to take advantage of their drivers so I paired them with an iFi Go Bar DAC/Amp.

Finally found the closed back headphone sound that is very close to what I was looking for. I wanted an open sound such as the hd 490 pros which are amazing but are they are open back with no sound isolation. The hd 280s were my go to for awhile because of the warm sound and bass but I can’t do the tightness on my head. The Presonus HD7 semi open were my go to until I heard these! I can’t complain at all these are amazing! I wish they were sold everywhere! Keep up the good work. I want to see more like this!

I purchased these headphones as an additional pair to use for computer and musical purposes. My other headphones are a Sony MDR-V600. I can say that the new headphones and my old pair are exactly alike. The sound quality and the interchangeable headphone jack is the same. The lager jack screws on to the small jack just like my other headphones. The new pair of headphones really do hug tight and comfortable to the ears. I would recommend these headphones.

Finally a pair of mid-fi closed back headphones!

The mid-fi price category has been lacking in general in recent years, but has been especially lacking in closed back headphones. My key sound observations: The mid bass is a little overpowering; could do with some EQing down to match a more balanced / Harman-esq sound. If you like bass you'll like these out of the box! The instrument separation is good; the adverting of good sound stage is true (for a closed back), better even than many headphones above this price range. Vocals are clear if a little sibilant. Due to bass tuning male vocals often overpower female vocals, and heavy bass can overpower vocals all together. These nitpicks can be fixed with EQing the bass down. My build sound observations: The build quality is good. You may expect more for this price but you really don't need more. It's a very function/durability over form design. The fit is amazing for large heads: the clamp force is strong enough to not fall off even when rocking out, but not nauseatingly tight for long sessions. The ear cups are very isolating and easily replaceable (a huge win for longevity)! The headband cushion is nice and due to the notch takes away a common stress point! I personally do not like the locking cable since I unplug cables a lot; this is probably the only thing I REALLY don't like about these. One thing that does not effect me but is of note: The ear cups do not swivel very much. Just enough to press ear cups against your head for isolation, but this headphone is not designed to be portable. My review is based solely on driving these with basic 3.5 out; no special DAC. These will work from a phone or computer 3.5mm port no problem due to the sensitivity.
