Customers are saying

Customers commend the S5C Elite 1080p Drone for its excellent camera quality, ease of use, and good battery life, making it a great option for beginners. Many also appreciate its price point and intuitive controls, including features like one-touch takeoff and landing. However, some users note limitations in the drone's range and size, which can affect flight performance, especially in windy conditions. The lightweight design, while contributing to ease of use, can also make it susceptible to wind drift.

I got the Snaptain S5C Elite 1080p Drone for my 8-year-old, and it has been an absolute hit! The setup was straightforward, and the remote controller is intuitive and easy for kids to use. The drone's 1080p camera captures stunning video and photos, making it a fun way for my child to explore and document their adventures. The build quality is impressive, and it has proven to be quite durable, even after a few minor crashes. The flight stability is excellent, and the various modes and features, like altitude hold and one-key takeoff/landing, make it perfect for beginners. Overall, this drone has provided endless fun and learning opportunities. Highly recommend it for kids and beginners alike!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Snaptain S5C Elite 1080p Drone, and let me tell you, it's an absolute blast! From the moment I hit the takeoff button, I was hooked. There's something truly exhilarating about watching this drone gracefully ascend into the air. Setting up the S5C Elite was a breeze. The seamless pairing with my smartphone was intuitive, allowing me to easily view the live 1080p feed and control the drone with precision. The video quality is surprisingly crisp for a drone in this price range, capturing clear and vibrant footage. The included remote controller provides a comfortable and responsive flying experience, even for a beginner like myself. What truly sets the S5C Elite apart is its thoughtful design and included accessories. The two batteries are a game-changer, doubling my flight time and allowing for extended aerial adventures. The spare propeller blades are a welcome addition, providing peace of mind in case of any accidental bumps or crashes. The drone's stability and responsiveness are remarkable. It handles wind with surprising grace, and the various flight modes offer a range of experiences, from smooth, cinematic shots to more agile maneuvers. Even just taking off is an adrenaline rush! The drone's ability to hold its position and respond to commands made me feel confident and in control. The Snaptain S5C Elite is an outstanding drone that delivers a thrilling and accessible flying experience. Whether you're a beginner looking to dip your toes into the world of drones or an experienced flyer seeking a reliable and fun option, the S5C Elite is a fantastic choice. The combination of its ease of use, impressive features, and included accessories makes it a truly exceptional value. I wholeheartedly recommend this drone for anyone looking to capture stunning aerial footage and experience the pure joy of flight.

I purchased this drone for my son a few weeks ago. He has been enjoying it a lot and it does some really cool tricks! It’s a very good drone to start learning to fly with. It comes with a nice carrying case and two batteries. Each battery lasts about 30 minutes so at least an hour of flying time. It came with extra blades and it charges fairly quickly. It’s a very good quality drone for the price. I would definitely recommend for a beginner.

A Great Drone For Beginners to Get Mechanics Down

    – BUILD – The S5C Elite is fairly small and made primarily of plastic, including the propeller blades. It is equipped with 4 brushless motors with twin blades on each motor. The blades themselves are pushed into their flight position with each motors’ centrifugal force and are able to withstand crashes due to its swivel design. Basically, if you crash this drone the blades will give way when it impacts an object or surface. The detachable battery sits on the backend of the drone, while the adjustable camera towards the front. There are various LEDs on the drone that indicate flight status, especially when crashed or out of battery. It also emits a sound during low battery as well as turning it on and off. There is a small antenna on the underbody of the drone for optimal signal reception, and a small center adjacent to it to determine elevation relative to the ground. A microSD slot can be found on its starboard side for when taking photos and videos. When necessary, the blades can be easily replaced with a Philips screwdriver. The four main arms are able to fold in to allow easy storage. The controller itself is made of plastic as well. The joysticks’ tension feel firm and for extra comfort, there are lower arms that fold out that give you a more comfortable grip. The controller will allow you to clamp your smartphone when you perform FPV flights. – CONTROLS – The controls are…simple, yet complicated. It really depends a lot on your experiences with RC cars, planes and even video games. There are two main joysticks: the left joystick controls elevation(up or down) and yaw(turn left or right) and the right joystick controls pitch (move forward or backward) and roll (lean left or right). It sounds simple until you actually get in the air and learn the behaviors of the drone with each input change. Being a beginner myself, I practiced a lot with oval flight routes around my house. I practiced clockwise, then counter-clockwise to get a feel for the pitch and yaw controls. After several runs (and several crashes), I was able to switch to Speed II on the controller, and this allows your joystick inputs to be more sensitive and allow for faster maneuvers. The controller also has one touch take-off and landing, and dedicated buttons for circular flying (camera is always pointed toward you) and a very sleek flip. If a microSD card is inserted, you can take photos and videos with dedicated buttons on the left shoulder of the controller while adjusting camera angles with buttons on the right shoulder. – APP CONNECTIVITY – Using the Snaptain Era app, you’ll be able to pilot the S5C as if you were in the cockpit. Connectivity is done via WiFi @2.4GHz; you’ll have to connect to the drone’s SSID prior to launching the app. Once connected, you’ll see a real-time feed of the camera and fly FPV (first person view). – PERFORMANCE – This drone is perfect for those that are getting into drones and learning to fly drones, in general. As a newbie, I am still overwhelmed with the various ways to fly in 3D space. This isn’t an airplane that flies nose first; drones hover and can fly in any direction and the S5C is completely capable of doing this. I loved flying around my home, learning to navigate using the controls and ultimately learning to fly with confidence. I’ve crashed a lot….A LOT, and the S5C is still able to take the abuse and continue to fly. I think with enough practice using the S5C, I can move up into a more advanced, professional grade drone. –RANGE– As far as range goes…Snaptain claims up to 100m…which is 300ft. With my testing, I felt that it was a bit shorter. I’m not trying to dispute their claim, but wanted to let folks know that there are a lot of factors that can drive this range lower. An obvious one is line of sight. Make sure that your remote control has direct line of sight to the drone. If you don’t have direct line of sight, it may seem fine as you work towards 100ft, but the remote control will start beeping loudly notifying you that it does NOT have any signal connection to the drone. This happened to me while I was trying to take pictures of the solar panels on my roof; the drone just stopped responding. I had to take a step back away from the roofline to attain a signal and get the S5C back on the ground. – BATTERY– The drone comes with two 3.7V 1200mAh Batteries that last around 15 minutes each. If you run FPV, run times will come a bit shorter than that. Having two batteries charged back-to-back is plenty enjoyable for a good practice run or just having fun. –CAMERA– The drone does come with a 1080p camera that can swivel up to degrees from pointed straight to looking straight down. The photos and videos are decent. Photos will appear washed out, but nothing that you can fix in post. The videos are also in 1080p, but it looks at 30fps…maybe less. The video feed felt choppy at times during FPV, and that’s probably attributed to signal strength. The same result will appear in your recorded videos. Nothing too crazy, especially this being a beginner’s drone. – CONS – Considering that this is a beginner’s drone, I didn’t dock it for the niceties that I wished it had; those features come when moving up to the advanced models. But if i had one complaint, it is most definitely the range. I didn’t really have a lot of confidence flying farther out. I thought simply flying over my roof would be safe enough, but the signal started cutting much sooner than I expected it to. Otherwise, flying indoors or relatively close to you outdoors is fine. Just know that this thing looks a lot smaller once it starts moving away from you. My only star to take off.

A drone ANYONE can (and SHOULD) fly

The Snaptain S5C Elite package is a unicorn in the low-cost drone market; easy enough for even a beginner to get flying right away, but with a feature set that you’d find in more expensive drones. Powerful enough to get you up to decent heights with a superb camera to get high quality pictures once you’re up there. It really is impressive, but even more so when you consider the price and value. From the moment I opened the box I was amazed. It includes a really nice travel case with two batteries, a charging interface and spare propellers as well as a well written and thorough set of instructions. The drone itself folds into a tiny package which makes the whole kit easy to stuff in a knapsack or bag so you can carry it anywhere, safely. The batteries are stated to charge in about 4 hours, but I found the charging time to be much less in my tests. The controller is simple yet includes all the necessary controls. This includes being able to control not only the drone flight itself, but also the ability to tilt the camera up and down. This is something you don’t usually see in lower cost drones and is a welcome addition. Installing the software on my Pixel 8 Pro went without a hitch, though I did have to turn off my cellular radio to pair properly with the drone. Once paired with the phone and controller, I was ready to fly in minutes. If you’ve ever been intimidated by the idea of drones, or you’ve had the sad experience of trying to fly one of those cheap Amazon/eBay specials (only to have it zoom into crash mode}, you’re in for a surprise! With one button press, I was able to get the drone off the ground and into steady hover on my first flight. Maneuvering the S5C proved easy and intuitive, and I was flying confidently right away. The first person view from the camera was mind blowing. Clear and steady, I was seeing my neighborhood from a completely different perspective. I could use either the buttons on the remote or their counterparts on the phone screen to take pictures or video and go right back to flying. Now, it is a small and lightweight drone, so it is affected by medium strength winds. But even in mild winds, it was impressive how steady it was and how well it responded to commands. Still, I wouldn’t fly this outside during strong winds. Not because I don’t think that the S5C could handle it, but because I wouldn’t want to lose or damage it – I’m having too much fun! You could fly it inside though; not only is it steady in its hover with little to no drift, but it is also amazingly quiet! I was kind of shocked at how quiet it was – both in the air and in the videos. Usually most drones sound like a swarm of angry bees but the S5C is virtually silent. This means that not only can you fly it inside, but you won’t be annoying the neighborhood when you take it outside. I’d confidently say that this drone is not only perfect for people who have never flown a drone before and are looking for a little fun, but also for people who may be looking at purchasing a professional grade film drone. I’d say buy this FIRST and get used to flying and filming BEFORE you drop those big bills to see if drones are for you. I think even content providers could make use of this given the high quality of the camera. When you outgrow it or need more features like GPS flight or following a person, then you can upgrade. But I still think you’d find a place for this drone in your tool kit. It’s just a pleasure to fly and so quick to get up and flying. I did crash it once, coming down a little too close to a small tree and it fell about 10 or so feet. But it took it like a champ and once I set it upright again, I was back in the air in minutes. It’s solidly built and well-engineered. I cannot recommend this highly enough. If you are considering drones at all, you’d be crazy not to buy the S5C Elite Package!

    A Fun Drone

The SNAPTAIN S5C Elite is an excellent little drone. It’s fun for the family and isn’t that hard to operate. Who: I recommend this drone for the family, kids, or anyone who just wants to have fun. This is not an advanced drone but one that is designed to be fun and affordable. The kids will love playing with this! I would say the age on the box (14+) is accurate. Anyone younger should be supervised by an adult and also provide full guidance. App: luckily I have experience with similar devices and could figure out how to use he app with the drone. The app to me is confusing and really provides no guidance in connecting it with your drone. There’s no screen guidance so you have to follow directions or remember how to connect it each time. You only have to go into your phone’s wifi setting and select the drone (must be powered on) and go back to the SNAPTAIN app. It will take a minute but it will connect and you will get a live stream of the drones camera right on your phone. You can also use the app to control the phone. Batteries: the drone comes with two rechargeable batteries that will give you a combined flight time of 30 minutes (15 min per battery). Each battery has a usb c port built into it which is convenient. What’s not convenient is that you have to use the included usb c charger to charge the battery. I used another high end usb c charging cable and it would not charge the battery which the directions state would be the case. I’m not sure what usb c cable I would need if I lost the included cable. The control takes two AAA batteries. Drone: the drone is extremely light and I would consider it fragile. Any large drop will most likely cause damage. Although, I did crash it light twice and it was fine. The drone is equipped with 4 brushless motors, an adjustable 1080p 5 megapixel camera, and altitude hold. Theres a slot of a micro sd card (not included) and plenty of lights equipped around the drone to help see it in low light situations or guidance. Flight: flight is easy! Either hold the take off/ land button or move both joy sticks in an inner motion to fire up the engines. Once started it’s easy to fly! A few cons about flight which is why this is not an advance drone. You must always have your hands on the sticks, any wind you will need to keep a thumb on the stick to compensate so your drone doesn’t fly with the wind. I also learned never to turn off the control while in flight, did this by accident and when it happened the drone just flew off. I recommend making sure you use healthy batteries in your control. Any signs of a weak battery I would make the swap before you fly. Controller: the controller is nice and holds your phone so you can live stream your drones camera. It does make a low quality beeping sound when powering it or down. It’s also important to note that there is a speed selection switch. I like having the drone in the 2 selection spot as the drone is that much faster. Other accessories include blades, a good case, and a screwdriver. Simple but helpful!

I have never owned a drone before and have been wanting to get one so this one was perfect for me to dip my toes in the water. It came with 2 batteries, the controller, extra blades, and a screw driver. It also comes with a nice case to keep the drone and controller in when not using it. I put a 128Gb SD-Micro card in it and after downloading the app from the Google Play Store I was able to quickly format it. The app was very easy to use, I was able to quickly connect to the Drone via Wi-Fi following the quickstart instructions. Once connected to the drone via Wi-Fi I was able to open the app and now have access to the live camera feed. There are also controls in the app you could use and it also allows you to take pictures to your phone if you don't have an SD-Micro card in the drone. Pros - Great for beginners, has an easy liftoff button that will start it up and launches it off the ground - Is durable and still works fine even after I crashed it into a palm tree or my truck - Can move the camera up/down from the controller then take video or pics pressing the shoulder buttons on top Cons - Smaller which means it isn't very heavy so it is difficult to fly in windy conditions - Controller seems like it would have been better if the sticks were reversed for us who play FPS video games the left stick would make more sense to move it forward/back/sideways vs up/down or turn Overall I am very happy with this drone and feel it is a great entry level drone for those wanting to explore what drones can do and have fun with them.

So many great things about this drone, but I will start with the fact that it comes with 2 batteries. It takes about 30 minutes to charge each battery and each battery lasts about 30 minutes. My son can get a good amount of play time to fly the drone around. The drone also has a little camera that you can connect through your phone and take pictures straight to your phone. We love that the remote controller has a phone holder that you can attach your phone to. Even on a semi-windy day he was able to use the drone at a low level but you can feel the wind slightly pulling it because of how lightweight the drone is. We cannot wait for a non windy day to use it and see how high it can go. Another thing to love about it, is it is easy to control but it sometimes goes in the opposite direction of where we are controlling it, but we still like it. The drone also looks really neat when navigating it through out the house. It can be a little loud, but it looks really neat. The drone can flip sideways and forward which is pretty neat. It also comes with extra wings in case the wing fans get broken and you run it into a wall like we have done a few times. Even with that, the drone is going strong and working just fine. Overall this is a great starter drone and my son loves using it everyday. Summer break is here so this was perfect timing. Just another thing he can use that can bring him outside and I love that.

I’ve always wanted a drone, but I’ve always been afraid to put down the hundreds of dollars it requires to buy something decent. I’ve also been really skeptical of the cheaper offerings as I’ve had one of those before and it was just impossible to do anything with. This from Snaptain changes everything for me. I’m no drone expert, I’m just casual user who wanted something to use with my autistic 5 year old and this fits the bill perfectly. From the get go this feels great. The packaging is nice and inside the box you will find a case, inside the zippered case you’ll find everything you’ll need In the box you will find the following: The Snaptain Drone The controller ( this takes 3 AAA batteries that do not come with the device so be sure to grab some ) 2 1200mAh batteries A short usb cable 8 spare screws 4 guards 2 landing skids A screwdriver And paperwork Pretty generous considering the price. You connect the app via WiFi and then you can cradle your phone in the top of the controller, here you can se the camera quality and it’s not bad at all. This is a 1080p camera and will be great for scanning around the woods or on the beach. Picture quality is good. No image stabilization here but that’s to be expected at this price point. It’s pretty easy to use once you get used to the controls which may take a few attempts to get right, but once you have them figured out you’ll be zipping around wherever you are without issue. It does move somewhat in the breeze making it a little difficult sometimes but you can counter that with movement. It’s also pretty quick, I’m sure it’s because I’m not used to them but I find it much quicker than I expected and I’m only on speed 1. Overall this is a really great package. Whether you’re looking to get into drones or just a casual user who doesn’t need all the fancy extras then this is an excellent low cost way to get into drones. I highly recommend and so does my son

I’ve wanted to try flying a drone for a while now. As a beginner, I wanted something more than the toy drones, and didn’t want to invest in a more expensive drone. This drone easily met my wish list. It has a 1080P camera, easy to use controller, 2 batteries, and extra propeller blades. You will need 3 AAA batteries and a microSD card (up to 64GB). Unboxing it is straight forward. The carry case securely holds the drone and its accessories. Once you’ve installed the app on your phone, you’re ready to fly in just minutes. The drone weighs in at 145g, so it’s under the FAA weight requirement for registration. My first attempts at flying went great. The easy to use controller and cell phone interface made it simple to understand. One button take-off and landing and I was off and flying. I found that even indoors, it was easy to manage. The photo quality was very good. My only concern is that I couldn’t get it to record to the SD card. The pictures recorded to my phone however. I’m waiting on a response to an email to their support team to understand what the issue may be. As a first drone, it’s a perfect way to start in the hobby. It’s a lot of fun and will certainly keep you entertained.

The Snaptain S5C Elite is a pretty cool little drone. A step above entry level "toy" drones, it has good features and is a nice introduction into higher end devices. The case is pretty solid, with cutouts for all the accessories. There are two batteries that charge with USB C directly so no extra base or proprietary attachment needed. There are a second set of blades included. Unless you're already well seasoned at flying, you're going to need these. And more.. Screw driver is included as well to swap blades as well as open up the remote to add batteries. Unfortunately this isn't rechargeable as well, It takes a few AAA batteries. The remote is pretty light and cheap feeling, so when you clip your phone to it, it will be very top heavy and want to lean back on you. There are many controls and a nice template overlay to see what's what. you can easily pan the camera up and down, as well as take quick pics or videos. Pairing your phone to the drone is pretty simple, just turn on the drone and then connect your phone to the Snaptain Wifi network that is being broad cast. Once you do that, you open the app and can see the feed. Flying the drone will take practice. Fairly similar to video game FPS.. you can go up and down with the appropriate direction on the left joy stick as well as zero degree rotate left/right. Right joystick will move you forward, back, strafe left/right The controller has some built in buttons for 360 pans for wide shots, trick flips and quick launch. You can do the quick launch manually with a combination of the joysticks as well. There is an emergency button where you'd want to kill the power in case its going somewhere you can't get to to retrieve. If you do hit that button and retrieve the drone, you'll have to power cycle the drone in order to use it again. Likewise, if you hit something and the drone falls, you'll have to power cycle to use again. i'm not the best at it and a couple times i flew it into my house and a school. the battery pack and hold popped off and was hanging by the wire. i've done this over a dozen times and easily snapped it in place. on that note, you cannot buy replacement propellor blades from the manufacturer. in fact i had to go online and purchase blades for a different brand and model drone. they looked the same visually and had the same labelling style. (A1,B1,A2,B2) and the work just fine. I'm on my 3rd set because my kids and I had some learning to do. Battery life is decent, you get about 15 minutes per battery. charging isn't terribly long, but long enough you can't keep going back and forth without downtime. the camera is surprisingly better than expected. for people goofing around quick videos that don't need fine details, like sports/driving/ scenery, it'll be good. overall, fun drone for the price to get into "real drones" as opposed to little $20-$30 toys that are better suited indoors and won't be taken from the wind

The SNAPTAIN S5C Elite Drone is an excellent entry level drone. it comes fully assembled out of the box. You get the drone, extra blades/props, controller, two batteries, charging cable(no power block), and a carrying/storage case. When I received the drone, I immediately fully charged both batteries before I went outside to test it out. The S5C is small enough that your can fly it inside if you're really good. With me being fairly new to flying drones, I opted to go outdoors. Before I actually started flying, I paired the S5C to the app which was a bit of a process, because you need to use your phones Wi-Fi and disable your cellular service in order for it to work, at least on my my Pixel 8 Pro, this was the process. After I paired the drone to my phone, I was receiving and excellent video image from the onboard camera. The included remote is by far the easiest way to control the drone, but you can also control the S5C directly from the app. It does state that it will only be able control it up to 20 meters. Let me also say this, trying to take video and pictures for the first time can be very nerve racking. Trying not to crash and still get a decent shot or video takes some time to get comfortable. I may of knocked the house and tree a few times getting comfortable with the controls, but to my surprise, the S5C didn't break. I thought for sure I was going to have to replace at least one prop, but they are pretty flexible and tough. I used this drone on my property up north to check the roof of our mobile home we have on the land after a big storm this week. We had a tree fall on it, and using the drone I was able to determine that everything was fine, and the metal roof just had a couple of dents in it. Thankfully I had this drone to try out, and didn't have to go get a ladder and climb onto the roof, then have to put it away after wards. I can see this drone coming in handy for many things just like this. One thing to note is that there is some sort of video stabilization, which I am thankful for. The drone was getting blow around a bit because of the wind, but the video seemed much more stable that what was going on with the drone. Overall I'm impressed with the SC5, and look forward to using it again, but I do need more practice.

Alright, let’s talk about the SNAPTAIN S5C Elite Camera Drone. It might come in minimalist packaging with some spare parts, a soft carrying case, and two rechargeable batteries, but don’t let that fool you—this thing is pretty awesome! The controller uses three AAA batteries, so no need for any fancy charging setups. Why It’s Awesome: Tough as Nails: This drone is built like a champ. It’s taken falls from 10 feet onto my driveway and bounced off a few trees, yet it’s still going strong. Sure, it shows some wear, but for the purposes of this review (and my own entertainment), I’ve been rough with it. Great Value: At just $99 (and even less if you catch it on sale), you get a lot of bang for your buck. It’s a fantastic entry-level drone for beginners. Decent Camera: The camera is a nice bonus. While it’s not going to win any awards, it’s perfect for fun aerial shots. User-Friendly: My 9-year-old son picked up the controls in no time. It’s simple enough for kids but still enjoyable for adults. Cool App: The app is well-designed, though it can be a bit finicky when connecting. Once you’re in, it’s smooth flying. Fun Factor: The first-person view (FPV) mode on your phone adds a whole new level of fun. My son and I have had a blast playing hide and seek with it. Bottom Line: The SNAPTAIN S5C Elite Camera Drone is a fantastic choice for those looking to dip their toes into the world of drones. It’s affordable, durable, and packed with features that make it fun for the whole family. Whether you’re a newbie or just looking for some high-flying fun, this drone won’t disappoint. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a game of drone hide and seek to play with my son!

If you have no knowledge of drones and are looking to get a present and be the cool gift…look no further! The Snaptain SC5 Elite has a lot of features, can be flown with only the included remote, remote + smartphone, or smartphone only. This versatility means no restrictions for getting up and flying quickly. If you are looking to get into drone flying and don’t want an expensive overhead…this drone is good enough for you to determine that. Two reasons for the 3 Stars instead of 5 has to do with the drone drift and max distance. Some of this just has to do with the extreme light weight (145g according to specs) so it is going to get pushed a little easier and some drift should be expected. However, in my flying sessions the wind was not a factor and I found the drone to drift quite a lot. It seems to have a hard time when input has ceased after flying in a drifting pattern and trying to change direction. It will change direction, but it takes a very long time to do so, It is typically easier to just stop. However, this also poses an issue (same when just flying in a straight line), when canceling forward input, the drone will air break, but also continue moving in the same direction, then slowly begin to reverse. Again this is after no input has been given. It takes some time to get used to it and anticipate these extra maneuvers, but this also means you need an extremely large open area free of trees and houses. The box states Ages 14+, I think you could go younger; especially if the kid likes to play Super Smash Bros. since the drone drift I find is similar to that game. Distance is said straight line 328ft and height is limited to 164ft, doing some math, it means at max height, max distance then is 284ft.. However, I find the drone begins to lose input at about 150 to 200ft. The remote will notify by beeps when signal has degraded, it also does so in the app. If you are at max height and flying away from yourself, you will reach the control limit range quicker. The drone limits its self from its height automatically and this barrier cannot be broken, however, distance from operator I found is theoretical and does not auto-stop the drone, as it just keeps flying on its own at that point. Any info in the segments below deemed negative are only meant to show the drone’s limitations. Remember, this is a toy and the features it offers are quite good. Please don’t expect qualities of a higher quality and subsequently a higher priced drone. Flight Time This is true to product info at 15 min and charge time is true to 160 minutes (~2.5hrs) @5v 2amp charger (I used a Samsung phone charger); manual states max is 5v 3amp with included cable. Video/Photo Quality This is a toy, that fact that it can do it is a plus, but don’t expect to get awesome shots. I used a SanDisk Ultra 32GB UHS-1 with write speeds of 100MB/s and a Samsung 32GB UHS-1 with write speeds up to 48MB/s. Both recorded the same quality of footage and both cards are well equipped to record at 1080p video with ease, but many of the videos had missing segments and were grainy. This is to be expected since the drone camera is not on a gimbal but a fixed arm that allows vertical rotation still but no stabilization. Discrepancies BB Webpage vs Guide Charge Time: 100 min vs 160 min SD Card: 128GB vs 64GB Accessories: Protective Propeller Guards vs no included propeller guards Battery: Printed Guide states when charging battery light on, finished off vs reality = charging Red, finished Green In App Guide and Tutorial Video is for Snaptain E20, not really an issue as basics are all the same. When the App is connected to the Drone the Snaptain E5C Elite model is shown in both image and name, but when not connectted the E20 is shown; there are navigation buttons that let you see other drones, but it does not change the video or guide. Controller: not so much a discrepancy but an omission that the drone can be flown with or without the included controller if a Smart Device is connected to the drone. Google Play Store states requires Android 4.4 or higher, but Guide states Android 8.0 or higher, my device used to test is running Android 11. The Snaptain SC5 Elite is a great starter drone or the "cool relative" gift and great for casual flying.

Ok, some information first. I live in a two story apartment complex and our patio is not screened with a nice field/retention pond area. It’s pretty as many birds love frequenting the area. This drone is what some would consider a starter drone and for me perfect. I had to view initially the instructions as I was kinda lost. But afterwords it was easy to make it work Some things you will need that are not in the package: 3 AAA batteries and a cell phone to use as a camera viewer. The actual drone is well built and came compactly packaged. It came with two batteries (Only one battery can be inserted at a time). The controller for it is very simple and for pretty much after using it for. Few minutes can be understood without issue. The camera on the drone is nice and clear and worked great with my iPhone as the screen. For me this worked wonderful as again I wanted it for some fun viewing outside my apartment and it did not disappoint. Price was also a welcomed positive as I was expecting it to cost more

This is a budget-friendly drone with a 1080p camera. It has a flight time of up to 15 minutes per battery and comes with a variety of features, such as hover, auto land, take-off, and one-key return. Out of the box, you have the drone, the controller that you can attach to your phone, 2 batteries, replacement rotor blades, user manual, and a usb cable to charge the drone battery. You can download the app from the iOS App Store or Google Play and get a FPV (First Person View) to see what your drone sees while you are in the air. There is an antenna on the underside of the drone to help maximize the signal reception from the remote as well as an elevation sensor to determine how far off the ground you are. You can also insert an SD card up to 128GB to record your flight videos and take photos from the sky. Overall I think this is an amazing drone especially for beginners and would definitely recommend to my friends.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the SNAPTAIN S5C Elite Drone, and here's my experience with it. Ease of Use and Setup: The initial setup was incredibly easy. The drone comes with clear instructions, and the app is user-friendly and simple to navigate. Even as a beginner, I found myself ready to fly in no time. The controls are intuitive, making this drone perfect for those new to flying. Flight Experience: My first few minutes with the SNAPTAIN S5C Elite were smooth and enjoyable. The drone responded well to the controls and provided a stable flight experience. I was thrilled with how easy it was to maneuver and the quality of the video feed. Connectivity Issues: However, my excitement was short-lived. After about 10 minutes of use, the drone unexpectedly lost connection and drifted away into thick brush. Despite searching for two days, I couldn't locate it. This was quite disappointing, especially since I was looking forward to more time with it. Overall Impression: Despite the unfortunate incident, I would still recommend the SNAPTAIN S5C Elite Drone as an excellent starter drone. The ease of use, coupled with the user-friendly app, makes it a great choice for beginners. Final Thoughts: Even though I got this drone for free as part of a promotion and immediately lost it, I would consider buying it again. If I do, I might glue an Airtag to the bottom to prevent another lost drone situation. The SNAPTAIN S5C Elite has the potential to provide a fantastic flying experience; just make sure to take extra precautions to keep track of it.
