Love this tv! The picture quality, the menu and app navigation, and sound are great. I definitely recommend. It is on the higher price point for tvs in general but it is lower when it comes to 4k Oled options, especially if you’re looking for an tv that resembles a framed picture/or painting aesthetic. I’ll start by saying I usually go for LG or Samsung when it comes to electronics, especially TVs but I wanted something light, aesthetic, and high quality as this would be a bedroom tv and I wanted it to match the decor and color scheme. This is my first TCL and I’m pleasantly surprised, it’s a quality tv, extremely thin, very light, beautiful painting/screensaver options, and it has an automatic turnoff feature if left idle which I think helps with preventing screen burnout and not to mention energy savings. Last but not least it comes with a light wood resembling frame.

Great tv. Very flush mount. Really does look like a hung piece of art. Picture quality is good. Gave it a 4 star only because I’m still figuring out the art/screen saver settings - instructions are less than clear and require a lot of trial and error. Overall, very nice.

I wanted a great quality TV that I could use in multiple different rooms easily. The TCL 55A300W was a great option because I could purchase the movable floor stand to go with it. This makes it easy to roll around the house or even out on the deck or to my garage! The matte screen is also great for viewing in bright rooms as there is no reflection. Overall I would say the picture quality exceeded my expectations, the design is fantastic (bonus - comes with a wood grain bezel that is super easy to add), and the Google OS is the fastest interface I have ever used on a TV + has all the apps you need available. If you are looking to mount this on the wall, it comes with the mount and hardware you need, and it is an extremely flush mount product. I am not using it for this purpose but it is nice that it is all included for you.

This 55” tcl tv has a great picture and like most TVs now the set up is mostly automatic. The only downside I’ve noticed so far is that there’s a delay in the response to selections when using the remote.

I love my new TVs! I bought the 55" and the 85". It is so nice to have the TV flush mount on the wall. The picture is great and setup was easy with the geek squad guys. I am going to add sound bar and sub woffer cause I think it would be good to have better directional surround sound! Much better price than the other brand frame TV

This TV is incredibly sleek and doubles seamlessly as a photo frame, with stunning image quality enhanced by a matte finish that eliminates glare. It consistently draws compliments as a centerpiece, often leaving visitors guessing what it is when turned off since it looks like an empty photo frame. The sound quality is mediocre, however I've always utilized surround sound or sound bars so I did not fully test the built in speakers. The main downside is its two-bracket flush mounting system, which proved tricky on a stone mantle as it is not a smooth surface.

Everything went very well. The installers were very well informed and the experience was delightful. They were very informative and knew what they were talking about. I didn't have many questions because they explained things very clearly and I appreciated that. Very smart guys. I couldn't be happier!!

The TCL frame tv is exactly what I needed for my wall above my fireplace. Picture is amazing! Best of all, no one box needed for this beautiful tv!

Sleek with good mounting hardware and a fast enough processor. The magnetic bezel can be removed or replaced but the replacement bezels seem difficult to source at a reasonable price. The frame aspect is very nice and the front of the panel is just over 1” from the wall. Good artwork selection from static to motion images that look nice on the matte display. No separate IO box to hide elsewhere is nice versus the Samsung frame TV. That specifically is why I bought this unit instead. The panel itself is the weakest link. Color and contrast is average. Black uniformity is poor but goes unnoticed unless you’re focused on scene transitions.

This test will emphasize mounting and connectivity Summary report: Product met all advertised functions in live testing. Mounting is an issue for the weak at heart. Actual setup and testing the product: Information pack sent with unit was fair. Not much as with most these days First, I read the instructions that were included, then checked online for all updates before turning on the unit (could not find a mounting diagram online). Unit was set up on the floor with spacers under the bottom. Once completely set up and functionality verified, I proceeded to mount the beast. This unit runs very warm. Mounting was an all-day project as I had to find help hanging the unit. The template provided was not preset for a 55” TV. It had to be folded in the right two places correctly to be used with a 55”. Since I only had one real stud to work with, I secured a sheet of plywood then centered it on the wall stud with several wood screws. The mounting plates were each attached with 4 high quality screws. Thought I had a picture of the final wall mount with those screws! Anyway, the unit is NOT held up with thumb tacks/LOL! I could have used a large rigid metal hurricane SIMPSON horizontal strap/plate or other hurricane framing connection hardware from Lowes or HD. Just did not have one handy and the plywood was left over from another project. Also with a strap, you will need proper sized sheet metal screws since the connection to the strap is critical. Do not use modern fake sheet rock for mounting as it is thin and very light weight to reduce costs. Last 15 plus years this sheetrock is used for most non-commercial construction. I would never use any sheetrock except 5/8” or better NYC rated fire wall sheet rock for mounting. Even then you need at least one stud. Measured at least 100 times to make sure the hooks were exactly centered on the wall brackets and the unit level/centered. The one thing I could not have predicted was the two hooks being 1/16” off in final vertical distance after mounting. I used a laser level, square, tape measure, and the human eye. You may be perfect but the brackets may be a little off. This might be adjustable with a jerry rig but I would not do that. You could put a heavy framed painting U bracket under the side that needs a fine tune. So, after hanging, I noticed it was slightly off level. But I was done and was not going to put the beast on the floor, remove all eight screws, adjust, and remount. I decided to adjust the painting above it at a later date. LOL Setup was a learning process as with all brands. Use your Google login for setup when prompted! It will migrate most of your links with passwords to your new unit. Paramount+ did not migrate so I did a search in apps and installed it. Finding the input selection menu was almost the complete opposite of my other TVs. Volume control is on the side of the remote in case you can’t find it. You probably want to keep a copy of step 3 in the setup book near your remote. Screen saver works perfect and should be used as needed. I was able to custom select pictures and use them in screen saver in portrait or any mode without issue. Even has a music option. There is no auto-on setting in any menu that I could find. I assume this is for art/picture display only and not an actual computer type screen saver. Tested most on the inputs. So, this is the potentially ugly part! You may need to remove the unit from the wall to connect cables as the inputs are not in a convenient place. My advice it to hook up 2 HDMI 144HTZ, power, and LAN cables before mounting (cable connection if you have it). The other inputs are seldom used. The USB would have been nice if it was accessible. You will need to drop an M/F extension cable from the ports you may need for another date. Ports were tested and worked fine. On all TVs, basic inputs should be available without removing a TV from the wall. Especially the needed ones (one-HDMI, USB, Power, LAN, headphones) Work arounds to hide cables: Hole in the wall behind the TV and another hole in the wall where they exit, Piece of furniture below the TV, Recessed receptacle behind TV, Wire moldings. Most commercial mounts just us WIFI for everything. Pictures included! Summary: This has an excellent picture and everyone was impressed with the matte screen and screen saver mode with speed adjustment. The features and quality of the unit are obvious in actual use. Since I use Google apps on 3 of my 4 other TVs, it was a better transition in setup. Added magnetic frame does make it look nicer on the wall. Mounting system is not for the weak of heart! Not a fan of edge lighting but it was executed properly. The television is wonderful! The picture is amazing, sounds great, it is also looks so nice! We had company for the holidays and it looked so nice on the wall with holiday photos while also playing holiday music!! We got so many compliments we will be buying another of the same one for downstairs as well!

Surpassed my expectations. Very clear picture and tons of free art to choose from or create. I purchased two to surround our 83inch oled and I love the set-up.

Got an amazing President’s Day deal on this TV. Picture is great, the art work looks awesome. I think this TCL is just as nice, if not nicer than the Samsung version. My last 3 TVs were Samsung and they all burnt out early. The built-in TV speakers are pretty terrible but we have a home theater set up anyway.

Love this tv! So thin, very matte, easy to install, comes with a whole gallery of art, and it really completes a room. It’s also very loud which is nice the speakers on this are very good!!

The TV works great in the bright lighting of our living room. The sound is lacking but a simple sound bar and sub set up helps a lot.

The TV we had in the master bedroom was about eight years old, an although it was a flat panel TV, it did not have any of the smart features of many modern TVs. The upgrade to the TCL NXTFRAME TV was a good choice, as it has a stunning picture, a flush mounting system, and a responsive smart TV system (powered by Google). I have minor complaints with the mounting system and the sound quality. I’ll start with mounting the TV to the wall. The set received did not ship with feet—it shipped with the TCL exclusive flush mount system (I knew this in advance). The flush mount system has four pieces—two plates for the TV, and two plates for the wall. One set of plates is for the left side and the other set is for the right side. It also comes with a template and detailed instructions for mounting. The instruction sheet had incredibly small print, but was easy to follow. Having separate plates instead of one bigger plate for the wall makes it critical that you mount the two plates perfectly level with each other. In addition, there is less probability that you will hit a stud in the wall, and eight fasteners are required for the hanging instead of four. I have hung over a dozen TVs on the wall for myself and family. While this one was not difficult, it did require some additional measuring and checking to make sure the TV was hung at the height I wanted and that it would be perfectly level. I am very handy, and the entire process took about 90 minutes. Once the brackets were on the wall and TV, the TV was mounted in less than one minute. Overall, the TV sits about 1¼ inches away from the wall, which looks very modern and sleek. The TV also ships with an alternative color for the TV bezel. For me, the standard off-white bezel was the better color of the two, but it was nice to have a choice. The bezel can be removed easily, as it is magnetic. One suggestion I would make is having the power cord another color other than black. If the whole idea is to have a conspicuous TV, nothing is less conspicuous than a black power cable hanging down from the TV. White or beige might be a better choice. A cable channel is also a possibility. The usability of the TV is great. Everything is super responsive—there is no lag between the remote button presses and the response on the TV. I use YouTubeTV as my TV service, and scrolling through the guide and DVR selections was quite nice. The Google TV features (for free viewing) is also nice, and realize that in order to access some of this free programming that additional apps might need to be installed. I have this TV directly connected by ethernet, with no DVD player or gaming system. There are 4 HDMI connection for these devices, but if you have older composite or component devices, you’ll need an HDMI converter. The picture was nothing less than stunning. As a QLED panel with 4K resolution, the image was crisp and without excessive saturation or contrast. In my opinion, the picture out of the box (but in energy saver mode) was fabulous. The picture settings offer quite a bit of customization, in the case your tastes differ from the default settings. I also really like the matte screen. This really cuts down on glare and makes the TV more aesthetically appealing when the screen is blank. The 120 Hz refresh rate results in no pixelation in motion scenes. I did turn off the motion smoothing, as it makes me seasick. As far as sound, I fount it to be quite a bit tinny. There are a lot of sound customization options, but no matter how I fiddled with it, the sound is never quite right. The art feature of the TV is pretty cool. Either when the TV enters screen saver mode (or you force it into the art mode), you can have a beautiful digital painting or photograph on the wall. The Art app has about 100 choices, and the image can either be locked or on a rotating gallery setting. Again, the screen and color depth really make these art images look stunning. When the power is off, the white “plugged in” light is a bit bright. I covered it with a small piece of tape. Overall, I would recommend this TV. Mounting required a bit more care because of the mount design, but the picture is fabulous and the TV is very responsive to the remote commands. Sound is a bit tinny, regardless of how I tinkered with it.
