    Great Headset When Configured Properly

This is the first wireless headset I’ve owned for Xbox since the 360. I spent over a decade on PC and used wireless sets there, so I knew what to expect going into this. I have used these headphones for around a month now, and here are my honest thoughts. Pros: Sound quality - I enabled DTS-X for surround sound instead of using the proprietary Turtle Beach software, so I can’t attest to that. For real games where audio is crucial, such as an FPS game, you’re not gonna wanna use that. I can truly say that I had an advantage when using these headphones. My spatial awareness was definitely improved when using DTS-X. Sounded like a movie theater through a headset. Battery Life: Depending on how long your gaming sessions last, the battery could last you anywhere from two weeks, two days. It’s definitely a non-issue here. Simply plug them in when not in use, and when you’re ready to go they will be too. No need to worry about the headset dying on you mid-game. Cons: 1. Turtle Beach Stealth Application I really wish that I didn’t have to open an app every time I wanted to check the battery. It’s need to control the headset from your phone, sure, but something as simple as an LED indicator on the device would be much appreciated. 2. The microphone will flip to mute which is awesome, but it doesn’t have very much room to adjust the distance to and from your mouth. Overall, I’d give these a shot on sale. If you’re going to pay decent money on a headset, these are the way to go. If you’ve got a bigger budget, consider something that checks all of the boxes.

This turtle beach gaming headset is great for playing first person shooting games on Xbox series X. With the 80 battery life I've never been let down by the headset in the middle of a game. It has the ability to switch between listening to your console in wireless mode to Bluetooth mode to answer calls on mobile phone and that make me never miss a game or get interrupted. I love this headset it's comfortable on the head and is user friendly to people who wear glasses and that's a huge thing for me. Thank you best buy for putting this in my life.

Solid headset. Bought as an emergency replace when my stealth 700s broke. these are meant for both Xbox and PlayStation but I would go for a better headset like the 700s if you need that because when you switch between the two often the audio settings get really mixed up and the app barely helps. once you get your audio right on PlayStation it sounds bad on Xbox and vice versa. I prefer having a dedicated headset for both now.

Audio sounds very good through the headphones and the microphone picks up on audio exceptionally (I play on Xbox and haven’t had any major connectivity problems either.) I dislike the fact they do get slightly uncomfortable while playing for longer periods of time, Although they are good headphones and I would recommend them to people who are just getting into gaming or people who don’t play long sessions (personally, I start to notice the discomfort after about an hour to an hour and a half)

Hello Denny! We appreciate the feedback regarding your Turtle Beach Headset. Due to the wide variations in head sizes and shapes, it's not possible to design a one-size-fits-all headset that will fit absolutely 100% of all users. However, we consistently provide a comfortable fit for the overwhelming majority of our customers. Please bear in mind that your headset will break in over time, which should result in a better fit after you've used it for a while. Sad to Say Goodbye to Turtle Beach 600’s

I’ve been using Turtle Beach 600’s for 4 years now, go through about a pair each year. They USED to have very good sound and I loved the TWO separate volume dials (one for game, one for chat). However they just completely revised the 600’s and went to the one dial for chat/game split and one for master volume (which is not a deal breaker). However the sound quality is absolutely horrible now. They sound completely different than the last 4 600’s I’ve had. I’ve tried all of the $350 headsets and always settled on the 600’s be use they were that good. But now I need to find a new headset.

Pretty good sound quality and the headset is well built. It is also not heavy. Memory foam ear cup and head band makes this pretty comfortable to wear. This headset is glasses friendly too so I have no complain when wearing glasses with this. However, some user might not like the shape of the head band, it is flat at the top and you will feel the band is pressing down on one spot on your head. See picture. Other than that, this headset has all the controls you will need on the headset itself and they are well spaced. My friends said my voice is loud and clear so the mic is doing a good job. It is mono channel though with A.I. noise reduction. However, the mic monitoring is amplifying the wind noise from the fan in the room. I can also hear some clipping on all the sound in mic monitoring. The instruction in the quick start guide said to go to https://turtlebeach.com/swarm2 but it open https://support.turtlebeach.com/s/downloads?language=en_US and you have to choose Stealth 600 Gen 3. If you type in the search box, it will show Audio Hub instead of Swarm 2. Installation is straight forward once you got the correct software. Upon installation, it will start to update the firmware. This headset support wireless using the usb dongle and support Bluetooth. The usb dongle also differ from the quick start guide, the guide said there are 2 dongles, one for xbox and one for PC and PlayStation but I only got one dongle and it has a switch where you can select between xbox or usb so I guess if you select usb, it means PC and PlayStation. Using USB will provide low latency wireless connection. The box said it is designed for xbox and a smaller print says also works with PC, Playstation, Nintendo Switch and mobile phone. For xbox, it supports series x/s and xbox one; for PC, it supports windows 10 and 11. I tested with PC using the usb dongle and Bluetooth, I also tested with my mobile phone via Bluetooth. No problem when connected using Bluetooth but when using the usb dongle with my PC, I notice volume is soft at level 50 and you cannot hear anything at all when the volume level is below 20. The volume adjustment is nonlinear too. This is strange and is most likely software issue because I don't experience this issue when using Bluetooth. This happen to two different PC I tested. Battery life is excellent, I believe the 80 hours battery life number stated on the box. This head set has superhuman hearing feature, I feel like it is just suppressing other sound and amplified the sound of interest like footsteps.

    A solid gaming headset

I'm always a bit excited when I get a new Turtle Beach headset. I have had the previous generation of the Stealth and since it was one of the best gaming headsets I've owned (in this price range), I decided to replace it with the new version. So, upgrade or downgrade? Let's start with what's in the box. You get the headset, a USB dongle and one of the shortest charging cables I've ever seen. There's a quickstart guide which covers all functions fairly well and that's it. First contact with the headset was very positive as it feels sturdy and has some weight, which is always a good sign. Buttons and dials are all easily accessible for quick modifications. Getting used to their placement on the headset doesn't take long either. As with previous generations, the mic flips down from the left side and disappears back into the body when flipped back up. That's engineering done right. The wear is comfortable with plenty of foam padding. On the technical side, you get a modern headset with plenty of options to connect it to many different devices. Those include Xbox (all series and previous One/X), PC, Switch and Android. This is made possible by switching from RF to Bluetooth and vice versa, which makes this headset extremely versatile. When used with a compatible device and the dongle, there is virtually no installation. It's truly plug and play in most cases. The Bluetooth might take a couple more steps, but it works fine after that. The initial charging took about 2 hours. The specifications claim 80 hours of gaming on a single charge. I was unable to verify that, but even after several hours of gaming, the Stealth was still almost fully charged. One thing I will mention is that this headset does not have a 3.5mm audio jack connector. I know that most people like to cut the cords, but I do like to connect my headsets to an external DAC. It's not a deal-breaker but it still bugs me. The sound quality for a headset such as this one is more than respectable. It contains a built-in DAC which can improve the audio quality and it allows you to fine tune the headset to your liking. The box mentions the use of AI noise cancellation technology. It's hard to tell whether it's done using hardware or software, but it does do a decent job at reducing ambient noise. One thing that stood out during a Call of Duty match was how well and accurately it renders footsteps and other subtle sounds, which is somewhat crucial in a multiplayer game. You can hear noises that probably would escape you if you'd use a different headset. Music sounds good (nothing to write home about, but good enough) and voice chat is excellent. Turtle Beach played it safe with this refresh by upgrading an already good gaming headset instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. It is extremely easy to use, has a very good sound and it doesn't break the bank. And considering that the previous model I own still works, I think the Stealth 600 is a safe bet.

Being a long-time owner of the Stealth Gen 2 headset, I wondered how much of an improvement the Gen 3 would bring. Spoiler alert: It is certainly worth the update! First, let's talk about looks. Now they appear a bit less “gamery” and more on the sleek side. The matte-black finish looks classier, and although they are a bit bulky, I could even wear them during business online meetings. The build-quality is still good, despite being mostly plastic. My old headset has survived several years (I do take care of them very well). So, I expect the same from these. While the headphones are comfortable for the most part, I did feel that the clamping force was a bit strong, which is great for keeping the headset on my head, but after a long gaming session, my upper jaw did get a little sore. The good news is that the ear pads are super soft and breathable, so my ears never got too hot or sweaty. Also, the pads passed the glasses test quite nicely. The controls are tactile and easy to find. I appreciate the wheel rocker volume and chat controls rather than touch controls. For connectivity, these headphones have everything covered. We’re talking about Xbox, PS5, PC, and even mobile. I have all these devices and I was able to hook it up with no issues via the 2.4Ghz dongle or Bluetooth 5.3. There is a convenient button to switch between modes. The mic quality is decent. It does not beat a dedicated mic, but I was heard clearly and ambient noise (especially keystrokes), were kept to a minimum. I have always liked the mic’s flip-to-mute feature rather than a mute button. The dongle goes red when muted, which is pretty nifty. The battery life is quite impressive as always. It’s been a few days of heavy use and I still have more than 50% juice left. There is no real improvement on the sound signature. However, this is a good thing as the 50mm drivers deliver the same full, energetic audio. At the default setting, the bass is punchy and there is plenty of that subwoofer feel. The midrange is engaging and the treble soars high without being harsh or sibilant. Just in case, there are four EQs to choose from at the press of a button. There’s great channel separation and imaging, which is great when playing FPS. There is a “super hearing” mode that I really was not impressed with, since it just enhances treble to make certain sounds be heard more clearly. The companion Swarm II Desktop & Mobile App provides a robust set of customizations. From button actions, mappable wheel functions, and a full 10-band EQ, you can set up the headset to your full preference. As I alluded at the beginning, I am impressed with the Gen 3s. Not only do they look better in my opinion, but they also provide more functionality and versatility this time around, without sacrificing sound and communication quality –certainly worth the price.

Excellent wireless gaming headset for PC/Console

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Gaming Headset is a versatile and high-performing option for gamers across various platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS5, and PS4. This headset combines excellent audio quality, comfortable design, and reliable wireless connectivity to enhance your gaming experience. The Stealth 600 features a sleek and modern design that fits comfortably over the ears. The large, memory foam ear cushions and adjustable headband ensure a snug fit, even during extended gaming sessions. The headset is relatively lightweight, reducing the strain on your head and neck, making it suitable for long hours of use. One thing I was particularly impressed with is that the headset didn’t make my ears feel warm. That has always been my biggest complaint with over the ear headsets, and surprisingly this headset didn’t feel that hot on my ears even after 2 hours of gaming. I also wish the headband could extend just a bit further as I have a large head and it felt like a little bit more extension would have made the fit perfect. One of the standout features of the Stealth 600 is its impressive audio quality. The headset is equipped with powerful 50mm speakers that deliver crisp highs and deep, immersive bass. There is a convenient volume scroll wheel on the left side to quickly adjust volume. The flip-to-mute microphone is conveniently placed and easy to use, providing clear communication with teammates. There is also a feature called “superhuman hearing”. This feature amplifies subtle game sounds like enemy footsteps and weapon reloads, giving you a tactical advantage. The drawback with this feature is that it makes it hard to hear your friends if you’re in the same room; I wish there was a transparency mode. The wireless connectivity of the Stealth 600 is robust and reliable. It uses a USB 2.4 GHz transmitter to connect to your console or PC, offering a stable connection with minimal latency. The headset has a range of up to 30 feet, allowing you to move around your gaming space without losing connection. The headset also supports Bluetooth wireless, but in my experience the 2.4 Ghz connection is much more stable. The battery life is very impressive, offering a whopping 80 hours of gaming on a single charge, ensuring you won't be interrupted in the middle of a crucial gaming session. The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Gaming Headset is a fantastic option for gamers looking for a high-quality, comfortable, and feature-rich headset. Its excellent audio performance, reliable wireless connectivity, and multi-platform compatibility make it a standout choice.

The expansion of gaming is an undeniable reality, as well as the number of products available for this purpose. One of the most required gaming accessories besides controllers, keyboards and mice, are headphones. I have had the fortune to try different types of gaming headsets, some very good, others not so good, different brands and among them Turtle Beach, which I must admit that over time have improved their product line. I have tried other generations of the Stealth series and this time it has met my expectations, although it is not a perfect product, it does well. In the box you get the headphones, a USB wireless transmitter, a charging cable USB-A to USB-C and a quick start guide. There are two ways to connect the headphones to the different compatible devices. First, you can connect via bluetooth through your phone's bluetooth settings, you can also install an app to access different settings of the headphones, although without installing the app the headphones work without any problem. The other way is with the usb wireless transmitter, this can be connected to consoles and pc. It is important to read the quick start guide as it contains instructions on how to connect the headphones to these different types of devices. The headphones have a set of buttons on the bottom of the left earphone. Power button, bluetooth, “mode button” (used to change the eq preset) and one more to change the connection type. This last one seems great to me because just by pressing a button you can switch from bluetooth to wireless and vice versa, when I finish playing on pc and proceed to do another activity, I just press the button to change the connection and then the headphones connect to my phone (previously paired in bluetooth settings), I find it very convenient. It also has two wheels one is for the master audio volume and one for game/chat mix. The design looks good, although I think they are a little big for my taste. However, one thing that is undeniable is comfort, so the design serves this purpose and I am happy with it. The pads are soft and do not irritate the skin, in my case I have not had any problem in this regard. The adjustable headband is comfortable as well. That the microphone is retractable is already a Turtle Beach signature, I like it. In performance this device is on par with other mid-range gaming headsets, which makes it, in my opinion, a balanced product in its cost/benefit ratio. The sound is very good, although it could be better. The size of the drivers allows you to feel a deeper sound quality. Despite not being headphones with active noise cancellation, it does isolate the outside sound to a good extent. The equalizer presets are fine, although for me only two of them convinced me more, as there are times when the increase of certain frequencies in a couple of presets makes the mids and sometimes the highs are distorted a little, nothing serious but I prefer the Signature Sound preset. In different games the sound delivered by the headphones is quite good, I can play without any inconvenience and get the same results as with my wired headphones. The microphone is loud and clear, it can also be configured from the Swarm II app and this gives it a plus. One thing that makes these gaming headsets stand out to me the most is the battery. I have been using the headphones for days and the battery continues to hold enough charge to keep using them for gaming and playing content on my other devices. This is one of their strongest points and what makes me conclude that, without a doubt, these are headphones that are worth the price and if they had at some point a discount, even better. If you are looking for a good pair of gaming headphones that you can use with your console, pc, phone, tablet, at a reasonable price, I can definitely recommend these Turtle Beach Stealth 600 headphones.
