I’ve been using Turtle Beach headphones for a few weeks now, and they have completely transformed my gaming and streaming experience. Here’s why they deserve 5 stars:
1. Unmatched Comfort for Long Sessions
These headphones are a dream to wear. The ear cushions are incredibly soft, and the adjustable headband ensures a perfect fit without any pressure points. I’ve worn them for 8+ hours during gaming marathons and streaming sessions, and not once did I feel the need to take them off.
2. Crystal-Clear Audio Quality
The sound is phenomenal. Whether it’s pinpointing footsteps in FPS games or immersing myself in the rich soundscapes of an open-world RPG, these headphones deliver precision audio. The bass is punchy without being overwhelming, and the highs and mids are crisp and clear.
3. Pro-Level Microphone
As a streamer, clear communication is key, and the built-in mic doesn’t disappoint. My teammates hear me loud and clear, and my stream audience has commented on how professional my audio sounds. The mic also conveniently flips up to mute—an underrated feature that I now can’t live without.
4. Durable and Stylish Design
Not only are these headphones built to last, but they also look sleek and modern. The lightweight build means no strain on your head, and they’ve held up perfectly through constant use.
If you’re looking for headphones that provide all-day comfort, exceptional sound quality, and a mic that’s perfect for streaming, Turtle Beach has nailed it. Highly recommend these for gamers and streamers alike!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
These headphones are extremely comfortable, even when worn for hours at a time. The sound quality is excellent, and they work perfectly with glasses—no discomfort at all. The battery life is impressive, lasting much longer than expected. I’d love to mention a downside, but honestly, I haven’t found one yet. Highly recommend!

Immersive Sound with hard to Distinguish Controls

Overall these headphones provide better sound quality than I expected for gaming and for listening to music. They are reasonably comfortable for long gaming sessions and although they have a tight fit they never felt hot. I liked the visual and vocal status indicators and Swarm software made me feel that I had total control of the headphones. The major downside for me was that all the controls were on the left earcup and I found them hard to distinguish. When reaching to adjust the volume I would hit the configurable wheel control instead or when trying to find the mode button I would hit something else.
Pros:
- Solid build quality and comfortable to wear
- Good overall sound quality with equalizer settings and presets
- Bluetooth and Wireless connectivity was never an issue and easy to flip between
- Noise Cancelling microphone helps eliminate room noise
- Voice and Audio notifications update you on the status
- Great battery life
Cons:
- The control buttons are hard to distinguish and can be frustrating at times
- Lacks true Noise Cancellation for room isolation
- The headphones do not fold flat for easy storage
Performance: The overall sound quality of these headphones is outstanding for a headphone in this price range. The mids and highs are very clear and the bass is good even without using the bass boost. The software has an equalizer built in so you can set up a personal profile to meet your listening needs or you can use one of the presets that is included in the software. The profiles really work out well for gaming because you can set up different profiles per game type. When playing War Thunder I felt like the sound accuracy and clarity was a notch above many other headphones that I have owned. When playing Sniper Elite I can’t say if it was the “Super Human Hearing” option or just the overall quality of the audio that made me feel like I had a better perspective of where and what was coming noise wise. Either way these headphones are great for gaming as well as listening to music.
Fit and Feel / Operation: The headphones have a tight fit but I found that the fabric covered foam earcups kept it from being an issue. Due to the tight fit outside room noise is minimized but not fully eliminated. The top support arm is well padded and I didn’t notice it while wearing the headphones. The microphone boon is self-storing into the left earcup and is easy to access and deploy. The controls are all located on the left earcup. There is are two rotary dials (volume and a configurable wheel) and four buttons (power, mode, Bluetooth pairing, Bluetooth/Wireless connectivity). Because of the arrangement and the sunken nature of the buttons I found them harder to find and differentiate than I would have liked. The headphones use a combination of verbal updates and somewhat intuitive beeps to provide status information. The led on the headphone and wireless adaptor change colors to give status as well.

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 is a very strong contender in the realm of sub $100 wireless gaming headsets. It offers very impressive features at a reasonable price point. Here are a few of the basics that I look for in a gaming headset and what this offers:
Design & Comfort: The headset features a sleek, non-gaming design with ear cups that rotate to 90 degrees so you can wear around your neck. The fabric padding on the ear cups and leatherette headband padding is adequate, but not great, but I found that for extended gaming sessions, I had no issues with the fatigue or comfort at all. Although some users with larger heads may find the fit a bit snug, I also did not have any issues wearing them and they are also glasses friendly. The overall build quality feels sturdy, especially considering that these are mostly plastic, but they do feel premium. The buttons are located on the left ear, and they do take some time to get used to where they are and what they do. You have Power, Mode, BT, Switching, and two great feeling volume type dials.
Sound Quality: For gaming audio, the Stealth 600 Gen 3 delivers a satisfying experience. The 50mm drivers provide clear and detailed sound, which is crucial for pinpointing footsteps and other directional cues in games. The Superhuman Hearing mode enhances subtle sounds, giving gamers a competitive edge in multiplayer environments to hear footsteps better. While the bass isn't overpowering, it's good enough for most gaming scenarios. You can take more control over everything when you install the Swarm II software. I used the PC version and did the firmware update first, then I was able to customize the EQ settings, Noise Gate, monitor settings, create different sound profiles (that link to the Mode button and are downloaded directly to the headset for portability), Microphone gain, power features, and a ton of other settings. Note, there is also a Swarm II app for your phone, that you can use as well, but I didn’t test it out that much, but you have that option it seems.
Mic Quality: The flip microphone is a standout feature that is one of my favorite Turtle Beach headphone features. The microphone offers clear voice capture without significant background noise, and you can adjust it to your liking using the Noise Gate setting in the Swarm II software. You can easily flip this microphone up to mute it and pull it back down to unmute it, also it tilts towards your mouth to help pick up your voice even better.
Wireless Connectivity: Another great selling point is its wireless connectivity via a USB dongle, which provides a reliable connection with minimal latency and connection is very fast using a 2.4GHZ connection. It’s compatible with PC, PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile phones (via BT) and thus making this very attractive to those with multiple devices that you can make use of this headset. The headset also boasts a decent wireless range, I tested about 50 or so feet away and that was downstairs out in the garage thus allowing freedom of movement within a small house without losing connection or having clipping noises.
Battery Life: Battery life is fantastic so far. They are rated for 80 hours of battery life, and I have been using them for about 20 or so hours and the battery reading on my phone via BT reports 60% left. My initial charge only took about an hour or so, but I can’t speak to how long it takes to charge back up from zero just yet.
Software & Customization: The Turtle Beach Swarm II app allows for firmware updates and some customization of audio settings. While it may not be as extensive as some of the other more expensive headset software apps out there, it does a great job of letting me customize the features that I am most concerned about.
Overall Impression: The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 is a near perfect option for budget-conscious gamers looking for a wireless headset with good sound quality, plethora of features, comfort, and low-key styling. It excels in providing clear in-game audio and reliable voice chat, which is essential for both those competitive gaming sessions. While it may lack the premium materials and features of higher-end models, its performance more than makes up for that. If you’re on a budget or just don’t want to spend and arm and a leg, this headset is worth considering.

A lot of audio for an entry level headset

This headset gives you a bang for your bucks at an entry level price. In terms of connectivity, it supports both 2.4 Ghz connection and Bluetooth. It’s got the usual set of features in a gaming headset these days: noise reduction capabilities and of course settings customization through the Swarm II app available to download from Turtle Beach website. While it is quite clear that the headset is geared more toward PC gamers, it also greatly appeals to console and mobile gamers.
Design and Build Quality
The headphone feels solid and durable enough to withstand daily use. I really like the flippable microphone. If I need to instantly mute the microphone, I can do that by flipping the microphone upward. When the microphone is flipped upward, the headset looks like a normal headset though that you can still notice the microphone so it’s not as normal looking as you would wearing regular headphone. The headset has useable buttons on the sides, and they are all useful. The Quickswitch button in particular is very useful if you use the headset to connect to a number of different devices that uses different radio protocol.
The headset is of an average size for a gaming headset. The star of the show is its battery life. Rated at 80 hours in most cases charging is only needed to perform on weekly basis. One thing that I don’t like about this headset is that it comes with a USB-A dongle. It’s not a big deal since I got a USB-A to USB-C adapter laying around in the house, however, portable gaming devices and even Macbook these days don’t have legacy USB port anymore.
Comfort and Audio Performance
The headset feels fairly light, and it is comfortable to use.
I have no problem with the performance of the microphone. It’s not the best audio cancelling tech out there but it’s effective enough since the position of the microphone is close enough to mouth and the noise reduction tech helps. The biggest selling point of the headset is actually its audio quality, and I’m quite impressed as an audiophile. I don’t mean to say that the audio performance is stellar for listening to music, nope. However, we’re getting a lot of audio performance for gaming. The volume is loud, detail and definition are there. The spatial audio is accurate enough to give me a sense of 360 environment. The audio quality is good enough that it makes gaming really enjoyable as it elevates the gaming experience to much more immersion.
Software and Apps Compatibility
There’s a PC and mobile companion app to access a 10-band audio EQ, microphone EQ adjustments and firmware update. In default setting, I find that the performance is good enough for gaming. The headset also works well with apps such as Discord so by extension it should work well for other apps such as popular video conferencing apps.
Final Thoughts
This headset came as a wonderful surprise. I did not expect it to perform that well at this price range. While I would prefer a low key fully retractable-and-storable or detachable microphone design; the audio performance, battery longevity and comfort make this a great headset for daily use.

A great headset-Software needs improving

Turtle Beach. A premium gaming accessory manufacturer I've known and used for nearly a decade. The headset arrived in what seemes like a chipboard mold serving as an accessory cradle, sleeved in plastic. In one compartment a bundled USB A to C cable of about 6' and in the next a USB dongle for a direct connection with your PC. On top, an easy to follow quick start/instructions guide with a important sticker to update your firmware. The headset commands attention, its all matte black design with a good weight feel well-made, and ear cups that are squishy, these shouldn't be an issue for extended gaming sessions. If only the software were to the same standard.
Setup
I feel that the instructions need a little more details, the lack of much had me jumping in using Bluetooth. It worked, and it was ok, but nowhere near what I've come to expect from a Turtle Beach product. The instructions do make something clear, you need the swarm 2 software, whether the PC version or mobile version. Upon downloading the PC version and connecting the headset, the software did prompt that I neeeded Swarm 1. I was surprised to say the least, I ignored it and proceeded to try use Swarm 2. The UI later did recognize the device and offered to download software for an update. It meant I was going in the right direction again. After a few minutes of downloading, a new prompt appeared, "Update ready, Do you want to install the update?" Clicking yes brings up another window reminding you to not disconnect your USB dongle from the PC. In a different portion of the same screen are icons symbolizing the connection types it detectcs. Clicking OK brings up a loading bar with a reminder to not disconnect from the PC. It shows a loading icon and shortly after says "we can't detect your device". After a few repeats of this ritual of unsuccessful firmware updates, I eventually gave up. However, something called my attention back to the manual. Perhaps the disgruntled state of mind of being defeated by the software, whatever the case, that second glance led me to the Android app. After downloading and agreeing to the terms, I found myself in the exact update loop. At least, a single loop, on the second go it began performing a download. Once finshed, a new prompt appeared that asked if I wanted to apply it, and to again do not remove the medium. The strangest thing, at no point did I ever do anything with the headset, neither paired it with the phone or pressed any buttons. Neither did I link the dongle that was still connected to the PC with my phone. I have no real clue as to what happened beyond clicking the confirmation button on the screen. Expecting it to fail again, I didn't hesitate to click. How did it move from my phone to the headset? The only logical explanation I've been able to piece is that the phone found the dongle automatically and it was relayed across to the headset. I'm not really sure how the consumer is supposed to figure this out if there isn't any forewarning that you need to plug in the dongle to any USB device, assuming this was the solution. Perhaps, a prompt alerts you if it doesn't detect it, but at this point it's merely speculation on my part so I'll leave it at that.
Performance
This is where I believe most of its value comes from. After pairing with my PC I quickly jumped over to a few pieces of media. With the dongle connected to the mic, I played a few videos to see if there was any significant differences between the headset, monitor speakers, and a small soundbar (PC speaker) underneath the monitor. While it sounded good, it wasn't mindblowing. I do blame the medium for lacking sound depth as streaming video has been known for underwhelming quality/codecs support. While waiting for a gaming platform and game to load up, I loaded a locally saved muisc file, and this was certainly a much better experience. Finally able to launch a game, I started with something that's recently been a go-to for casual gaming. Upon launching a save point and landing in the game world I immediatly thought "where am I?". The music that sometimes loads before the visual picture of the game began playing through, and it sounded somewhat different. I was noticing the background sounds consisting of small chimes, bells, and synthsized sounds layered beneath a rock-like\electronica base track. It was stunning, almost like reliving the magic from the game for the first time. It was an explosion of audio tones that bring the scenes in front of your eyes to life.
I wanted to be certain I wasn't imagining things so I fired up a FPS to see how well it performed, with the "super human hearing" feature. As soon as it begins I run off to areas usually labeled camping spots by players for their higher foot traffic and more action in general. Sure enough, it didn't take long to hear gunfire in the distant foreground, footsteps from every direction, or another player in my proximity reloading. Outside of player created effects, they revealed many other sounds, from rustling bushes and grass to cosmic sounds during space travel, stuff usually not easily, or much at all, heard from ordinary speakers. At this point I thought to myself, "you've redeemed yourself after putting me through that bogus setup process".
The mic has an auto-on/off function that triggers when you flip the mic up or down. It also carries an audible tone in the headset to let you know that it has been changed. This makes it useful for gaming with a group while carrying out a conversation locally.
Build
The headphones have a tight fit and found that the fabric covered foam earcups kept it from being an issue. The tight fit makes outside room noise minimized but they are not isolated. The top support is well padded and wasn't intrusive while gaming. The controls and mic are fixed to the left earcup with no way to adjust them to the right. I did find the arrangement of the buttons, minor texture and the sunken buttons an issue to distinguish each from the other. Battery life was amazing, I neevr could deplete the first charge within the review period.
Overall, I love the rich audio tones this brings, along with the comfort of the headset. But I'm a little peeved at the software and setup this carried for me.
This is worth 4-stars.

Comfortable, long lasting budget headset

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600s fill a much ignored gap in the wireless headphones segment for PC gamers. Comfortable, capable, lightweight with good battery life within a reasonable budget. While my experience with these headphones was not perfect, my expectations were exceeded.
The start out with, the build quality on these is pretty exceptional given their price. The headset itself is considerably light compared to my other headset, but it doesn't feel cheap like you'd find elsewhere within the same class. The headset is a made of a lighter weight plastic that has a nice smooth finish to it with no jagged curves. The mic feels a little flimsy but shouldn't be too much of an issue, I only recommend putting the boom up when you take it off to avoid breaking it. On the left ear muff you'll find your controls. A power button, a Bluetooth/wireless toggle button, mode button, and two wheels.
I feel like the buttons/wheels could have been reduced. The Bluetooth and Quick Switch button could have been the same button, where a single tap on the quick switch would switch between bands, while holding it down would put it in pairing mode. I also do not see the point behind the second wheel on the headset. I understand wanting more controls, but I don't understand wanting them where my hand isn't going to be most of the time. I could be wrong, but I don't see the situation where having a duplicate mouse wheel on my headset is helpful. The only reason I bring this up is because while using the headset, it can get confusing what button you are pressing, leading to issues. For example, my son was playing on my laptop and came to me confused as to why he had no sound. It took a few minutes to figure it out, but when turning it on, he had switched the mode to bluetooth and there is no visible indication which mode it is in. And while I was using it, I would often go to turn the volume up or down, find the wrong wheel and end up simply turning up the gain on my mic. I think it would have been better to have secondar controls on the other ear muff if they need to be included at all. Minor gripe, and something that you'd get use to over time with them, but it did detract from the initial experience.
Comfort is the next big thing with these, they are very comfortable for their price and they've made improvements vs previous generations. The telescoping feature of the ear muffs is now enclosed. The slide is inside the headband, not partially exposed so it feels more premium and no risk of your hair getting snagged up in the open design. The headband itself is very comfortable as well being memory foam and a more premium (not quite top of the line, but good) material. I actually prefer this headband to my previous A250s even though the A250 are much more expensive. The ear muffs are attached with pivots as well, allowing the headset to conform to the shape of your head very well. I never felt like it was bending or applying pressure on my head awkwardly. The headset scaled perfectly fine down from my larger adult size head to my small eight year old sons.
The only drawback I had with the comfort side of these is the inside of the ear muffs felt a little small when it came to depth. My ears were pressed against the fabric on the inside of the headphones, and being a closed design it got pretty warm. So after long play sessions there would be a little discomfort on my ears. Just a minor thing, but something I noticed. If you have particularly wide ears this might be worse for you.
Sound quality on these I find to be passable. Its not going to include the things like Dolby Atmos or simulated 5.1 or 7.1 surround, these are in the budget category, so I wouldn't go in expecting the best, but they aren't terrible either. I could sit back and listen to music in them fine, I wasn't blown away by the quality, but I wasn't turning off the music because it was bad either. There is a feature built into the software for the headset to amplify sound frequencies you'd find in games for things like footsteps or reloading. I didn't get the chance to use that feature as I was having driver conflict issues, but it seems a little gimmicky to me. I did get to toggle it on briefly and it changed the sound profile quite a bit, so while it might amplify those sounds, its also going to distort the other sounds at the same time.
Battery life on these is great. I fully charged these as soon as I got them and after 5 days of use (a few hours a day) I haven't had to charge them yet. I haven't been actively recording the hours I am putting into these, but I do feel like they last longer than my other headset by a significant amount. A plus with this headset is that they use a USB-C connector. I know this now mandated on new devices, but should be pointed out as lots of devices on the market are still using micro or mini usb.
And finally, one thing that I wish this headset could do is purely wireless mode. I don't like using Bluetooth on my laptop (as sometimes it has bad audio latency) and the dongle is rather large for this. It would be nice if the included cable would also work for connectivity. That way I can just plug in the cable, let it charge and use it, instead of having to occupy 2 USB slots on my laptop. A minor inconvenience that I hope gets remedied in future designs.

Unboxing the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Multiplatform Gaming Headset was a pleasant experience. The box itself is sleek and well-designed, showcasing the headset prominently with key features highlighted on the sides. Inside, the packaging is neat and secure, with the headset nestled snugly in a protective mold. It comes with a USB dongle, a quick start guide, and a USB-C charging cable. Everything was easy to access, and I appreciated the minimal but effective use of packaging.
The headset is black with a matte finish, giving it a modern and understated look. The build quality feels robust; the plastic used is of high quality and doesn’t feel cheap. The ear cups are made of a soft mesh fabric, which is breathable and comfortable. The headband has decent padding and is adjustable to fit different head sizes. The buttons and controls are conveniently placed on the left ear cup and are easy to locate by touch.
When it comes to mobile gaming, the Stealth 600 delivers a solid performance. Pairing the headset via Bluetooth was straightforward, and I encountered no issues connecting to my smartphone. The sound quality is excellent, with clear highs, mids, and deep bass. Games sounded immersive, and the headset also performed well with music and calls. The built-in mic picked up my voice clearly without any noticeable lag or distortion.
Using the Stealth 600 with my PS4 was equally impressive. The setup with the USB dongle was quick and painless. The headset provided a rich audio experience, bringing game environments to life with its powerful sound. The surround sound feature, which enhances positional audio, was particularly effective in first-person shooters and adventure games. The microphone quality was also commendable, delivering clear communication with my teammates.
Latency is a critical factor for any gaming headset, and the Stealth 600 performs well in this regard. When using Bluetooth, I experienced minimal lag, which didn’t detract from the gaming experience. However, using the USB dongle provided an even more seamless experience with virtually no noticeable latency. This makes the headset an excellent choice for competitive gaming where every millisecond counts.
Comfort is where the Stealth 600 truly shines. The headset is lightweight and the ear cups are designed to fit comfortably around the ears without causing pressure. I wore the headset for several hours at a stretch, and it remained comfortable throughout. The breathable fabric on the ear cups helps to prevent overheating, which is a big plus during long gaming sessions.
Battery life is one of the standout features of the Stealth 600. With up to 80 hours of battery life, this headset far exceeds most competitors. In my use, the battery lasted for days without needing a recharge, even with several hours of daily gaming. The headset charges via USB-C, and the charging process is reasonably quick, ensuring minimal downtime.
The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Multiplatform Gaming Headset is a fantastic choice for gamers who value sound quality, comfort, and long battery life. Its robust build and comfortable design make it suitable for extended gaming sessions, and its compatibility across multiple platforms adds great versatility. Whether you’re a console gamer, a mobile gamer, or both, the Stealth 600 delivers a top-notch audio experience with minimal latency. The impressive battery life is just the cherry on top. If you’re in the market for a reliable and high-performing gaming headset, the Stealth 600 is definitely worth considering.

Top Of The Line Headphones - Without A Case

The first thing I had to do was charge the Turtle Beach Shealth 600 headphones. I used the included charging cable and the block from my iPhone, It had a nice long cord which I really liked. I hate it when headphones come with a short cord. It seemed to take a long time to charge them the first time. The second time did not seem to take as long.
The headset is so comfortable on my head. Not tight nor lose. It does not move around on my head yet it is in no way restrictive. I also like the microphone. It is not so long that it gets in my way. It is just the perfect size. When I am not using it, it stores easily out of sight in a slotted place on the headset. Totally out of sight. The ear part is so soft. Feels like my pillow. It moves from side to side to get that perfect fit. I do love the feel and comfort of it.
I had to make sure my headset was updated with the latest firmware by scanning the code found in the instructions. It took me straight to the APP Store and the APP Swarm II. Sure enough there was a mandatory update. So I attempted to update that. I did have problems with that but after some time I managed to accomplish that.
Once I had the update completed It was so easy to reconnect to the computer using the USB Wifeless Transmitter. I also added it to my iPad and iPhone using blue tooth. It was so easy. I just had to turn on Bluetooth on my iPhone and then turn on the headset, For some strange reason I had hold down the Bluetooth button and the Quick Switch Button at the same time then it paired perfectly.
I like to carry my headphones with me when I travel. So I was disappointed that this came without a case to carry it in. I do not like to just leave my headphones laying on the bed in a motel or on the car seat while I go in somewhere to eat. I need a case to store it in out of sight. If it had a case I would have rated this a 5 star.

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 has impressive sound paired with practical controls and above average wireless distance coverage.
But first:
What in the box:
-Charging cable USB-A to USB-C, USB A Dongle, Haadset
Connections:
- Bluetooth 5.2, 2.4GHz Wireless
Hardware Controls:
1. On/Off button / Superhuman Hearing
2. EQ Mode
3. Variable Mic-Monitoring on Play Station and PC Version
4. Master Volume
5. QuickSwitch Button (switch between Wireless and Bluetooth)
6. Connect Bluetooth
7. USB-C Port
Paring:
Pairing process has been simple at first attempt. Connection with Dongle or via Bluetooth, was able to complete immediately and didn’t take second trial.
Using the controls:
The controls are dedicated hardware buttons for each function. Unlike the trend in different brands that is based on touch or sensors requiring several taps to perform the action, with Turtle Beach Stealth 600 that process feels more accurate and easier or more effective.
To increase the volume for instance, it just takes rolling the dial. Or switching from bluetooth connection to wireless just takes a press in a separate button. As result, it is just about remembering the buttons rather than how many times to tap for each functionality.
EQ Mode / Sound Experience:
EQ comes pre set of Signature Sound, Bass Boos, Bass & Treble Boost, and Vocal Boost. They are all exceptional modes depending on each situation of game. It is clear and crisp that impressed me as comparing to twice more expensive headsets.
It can feel the little sound effect created on the rear to the front as objects and shooting for instance happening on the diagonal direction while instantly others details popping up in the screen and still synchronized simultaneously.
Then using for conference call and listening video recording works perfectly well without dropping of connection or latency during long call.
Wearing it:
The cup covers very well such to isolate external noise much as possible. Sound from the street nearly can be felt as I have used near the street with construction and lawnmowers works in progress.
And probably the experience vary depending on how big is the user, but as small ear I have, the cup sits nicely without causing pain on the ear and feels comfortable.
Connectivity
It can be connected via Bluetooth and/or Dongle USB-A. Every connection being done, a voice tells which one being connected.
Mic
Activating it is based on expanding the mic or same as unmute. As unmute, it generate beeps sound to indicate such mode being activated, and same for mute mode by flipping back.
In summary, the headset from Turtle Beach Stealth 600 is made for gamers that provide exceptional sound as crisp and with nicely synchronized sound effects, and reasonably good sound isolation from external context and noise cancellation.
It only require memorize position of buttons, and only in one button to Single/Double/Triple press for Media Playback Play/Pause/Next Track/Previous Track, Accept/Reject/End Call/ Incoming Calls.
Wish it were better:
1. Little lighter
2. Bit Less pressure to ears
3. More explosive sound effect during the game. Although it has reasonable bass, in more explosive scenarios feels to comes bit short.
4. Be able to change voice of the prompt.

Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3
Quick Overview
=================================
There are a tons of choices in all different price brackets to consider when shopping for gaming headsets. At this price point, there's especially fierce competition from major brands like Logitech and Steel Series, to smaller/niche ones like Nacon's RIG line of headsets. Now we'll look at Turtle Beach's latest version of their multi-platform wireless headphones, the Stealth 600 Gen 3.
Overall build
=================================
Plastic may not be the most premium material, but there are certainly varying degrees of quality. Here, Turtle Beach has some very nice, dense, matte-finished plastic that definitely doesn't feel cheap. The earcups are a soft cloth with an even softer memory foam padding inside the for maximum comfort, even for those who wear glasses.
In the box, you'll also get the 2.4 Ghz USB-A dongle, a charging cable (USB-A to USB-C). The dongle itself is small and I'm a bit surprised it's USB-A only, but that's fine since I suppose we're all still making the transition.
There are no controls on the right earcup, so everything is on the left including the flip-out boom mic. Starting from the front where the flip-to-mute mic is, there's a power button with a ring that lights up while charging, a Mode button, and the BT button (hold down to pair). To the rear there's a master volume knob and a chat/game mix knob, each with a differently knurled finish to differentiate by touch. Lastly there's a Quick Switch button by the USB-C charging port which can flip between BT audio and the 2.4 Ghz dongle. It's a nice touch and works with just a half-second press. The headphones have quite a few clicks of adjustment and even on my med-large head, it only required about 4-5 clicks on each side out of the 10-11 maximum.
Initial setup
=================================
I let it charge for a few hours so I could properly test it. The circular ring surrounding the power button glows red while charging then turned off when it was ready.
I wanted to make sure they were fully charged, so I connected it to a USB-C charging cable and waited.
After plugging in the dongle, I was ready to go from a "default Windows sound" perspective, but I figured I should download the software. Here's where things went a bit awry and I think TB could make the process smoother.
I downloaded their Swarm II software and installed it. During that time, it noticed my headset was connected and there was an update available for both the dongle and the headphones. Great! I let it update and after that I was having issues connecting. Though I could hear Windows audio, the app itself (Swarm II) couldn't see the headphones so I couldn't customize it. I decided to try BT mode and also test the mobile app at the same time.
BT pairing was easy enough. I just held down the BT button and selected it on my phone (Pixel 8 Pro) when it popped up. I then installed the Turtle Beach Swarm II app from the Google Play store and saw it had a lot of EQ and other parameters to tweak. It looked nice enough and showed my firmware was up to date. I then switched back to "Wireless mode" (that's what the audio prompt says) and the Windows Swarm II app still couldn't see my Stealth 600 Gen 3s! I decided to reboot and when I came back online, my headphones appeared in the Swarm II app! Yay? Well, after firing it up again, it said I had another update - this time for Waves for 3D audio. I let it install that and rebooted once more. After that, Swarm II prompted for yet another firmware update for the dongle and headphones! After going through this process one more time (and another reboot), I was finally able to see more options in the Swarm II app including EQ modes, Macro, and fine-tuning of the different buttons and knobs that could be reprogrammed. Overall, it's nice to have this much customizability!
I worry that some other less-persistent PC users may have given up before this point, because I'm leaving out a lot of power toggling, USB dongle disconnect/reconnecting, and rebooting.
Now that we were ready to go, I was finally ready to play some games and listen to music!
Performance
=================================
The mic is actually very good. It's much better than I expected! I record audio for technical marketing videos and repair videos online with a dedicated "Australian Mic Manufacturer's" mic and this TB Stealth 600 Gen 3 nearly matched it. I'd say most people may not notice the difference! I was impressed and I also like that I could configure things like the "noise floor", sensitivity, and more in the app.
For testing the sound, I listed to multiple FLAC and Spotify songs that I knew very well and that I've tested with "audiophile" headphones/amps and other gaming headphones. I also played some Sniper Elite 4 and Cyberpunk 2077.
Overall, I'd call these headphones more accurate than they are musical, and that's OK! If gaming is your thing, I think these headphones are probably superior to the more musical ones. Sure, a lot of people like powerful, booming bass when it comes to music or watching movies, but when it comes to sneaking around as a sniper in WWII, you want detail. These Stealth 600 Gen 3s are super-clear and what they may have lacked in pure bass output, they made up for in clarity and resolution. I really liked these in Sniper Elite 4 as they helped me really focus on what was going on. Superhuman hearing was also a very nice option (as it has been w/TB for years), but it's hard to say if it helped a ton in this game because the clarity really helped me hear the details I might have missed with other headphones.
In Cyberpunk 2077 these also performed really well. Yes, CP2077 benefits from powerful, musical headphones with its soundtrack and action scenes, but there's also a ton of detail in Night City and you can hear it with these Stealth 600 Gen 3s.
Musically, I think the biggest thing I missed was the bass/sub-bass but overall these are great headphones for gaming and music because of their detail and resolution. Even tweaking the EQ to boost the bass can't get it up to the same levels as some bass-heavy favorites, but again - these are very pleasant and accurate.
Conclusion
=================================
I've had the pleasure of testing multiple wireless gaming headphones over the years from the PS3 era to the best and newest ones that include an HDMI switcher! These headphones are surprisingly one of my favorites! I typically like some extra "oomph" in the lower registers since bass in music and movies can make things more exciting and fun, but I love the accuracy of these! Not only that, they don't distort if they can't hit the low frequencies (unlike some other headphones I've had).
Everything from PC, to Android, to Steam Deck to Spotify was clear and accurate.
Barring the initial setup hassles, I'd recommend these if you're focused on gaming first and music/movies second.

Right off the rip I have to say these new stealth 600 series gen 3 maintain the old tried and true fitment of years past so if you enjoy any turtle beach headset this one will also fit great but if you have even a remotely larger head (think like L/XL flex fit needed) it will have a higher clamping force and I recommend you check these out at your local Best Buy display to ensure fitment.
That said im part of the clamp crew though they do stretch with time. The stealth 600 series from turtle beach is by far the most recognizable name in gaming headsets. This new gen 3 style for 2024 really steps the bar up by adding bluetooth functionality to the already stellar 2.4ghz wifi connection. This particular model can connect easily to PC, playstation, switch, and mobile via low latency wireless or bluetooth depending. The new AI based mic noise reduction and echo canceling is actually a lot better than last years model I also have which is nice my friends noticed the difference right away. This has the newer 50mm nanoclear drivers which sound full and up front so you can hear foot steps well with the right EQ settings.
Speaking of EQ settings you can customize the 3d audio settings, EQ, mic settings and everything else right in the Swarm II desktop or mobile app.
Beyond fitment the athletic weave fabric ear cups are a hate it or love it type of deal and personal preference. The real choice on that is these allow your ears to breath well over a long period of time but they dont keep sound in that well if your trying to be discrete. The mic flips up to mute which is a turtle beach classic and much appreciated. Another appreciated thing is the ability to lay these flat on your desk and the ear cups swivel to allow. There is switches on the ear cups for mode, a new quick switch button to swap between 2.4ghz wireless and bluetooth modes which only takes a couple seconds to connect.
Overall you cant ask for much more value for the money here on a wireless pair these days. I wouldnt hesitate to pick up a pair (unless you have a large head then try them on first lol).

Gaming on a budget

If your in to gaming then you know all about turtle beach both good and bad. The stealth 600 offers a great entry for those looking for a head set all without breaking the bank. And while everyones opinions differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, turtle beach has also been known to produce quality, at least on the higher end set ups.
The stealth 600 offers you everything you have seen with every other head set. And with its price point set to a more afford dollar amount the real question begs to be asked, is it worth it? All the features and compatibility are easily read in the product description so im not going to waste time on that. Diving right in to it this headset is not built for comfort, at all. The rigid hard chassis gives little room for give meaning the break in period is going to take a long time and during that whole time expect to have much discomfort in the form of headaches. Now for the smaller domed people such as my 15 year old daughter this head set fits her perfect and she raves about how comfortable it feels. The drop down mic is a nice simplistic feature that the next gen stealth 600 still carries which i am a big fan of. Obliviously simply pull the mic down to chat and back up to mute. But i what i really like about this very simple feature is how clean it looks when it is tucked away in mute mode. It molds perfectly to the shape of the earcups and is no longer a eye sore. Speaking of the mic, chat quality is surprisingly very very good. Having someone else use both the stealth 600 vs my turtle beach pro i honestly could not tell much of a difference in voice quality. Voice quality was clean and clear and never once sounded distorted or brought in static. Audio quality from the actual games was a different story however. There was a very noticeable difference in bass and clarity. If your games are set up for Spatial sound you can forget it with these headsets as there will be very little to no difference in the change of sound. Bass struggles to hit when hearing sounds like mortar fire going off from games like COD and the mids seem to become almost muffled as the drivers try so hard to push the bass that it slightly distorts your other back ground noises. Bluetooth was dropping out as well from time to time but i cant knock the headset too much as this is an easy fix by simply plugging in the power cable directly to your gaming device.
Over all this is a budget friendly headset that is great for some but not for all. What you really need to ask yourself is what is it your primarily looking for? If all you care about is a reliable chat set that wont let you down, then i say pull the trigger and buy it and you will not be disappointed. If your looking to become immersed in your enviorment during long gaming hours, then its a hard pass. The audio quality is average at best and the rigid chassis will bother your head after about an hour of gaming. If your buying for a child or teenager then this the perfect set for you.

The Turtle Beach - Stealth 600 Wireless Multiplatform Gaming Headphones are a spectacular headset with outstanding sound quality and a crystal clear microphone.
This headset is designed with the gamer in mind! The material is high quality and durable. Fitting is extremely comfortable. The ear cups fit securely on my ears with soft padding around the perimeter of the speakers providing an ideal lightweight experience when I play the game for minutes or hours.
These headphones are really easy to setup with your gaming console. I even used them on my gaming computer. The battery life is exceptional! You can use them for over 4 hrs of continuous play without the need to recharge the battery. The battery capacity is higher than 4hrs, but that's as long as I've played with them in one continuous session.
The ergonomic design of the headset seems to have been a priority in the development of this product. Everything is placed in the right position, allowing you to easily control and utilize the headset effortlessly. The microphone is a proper distance from your face and mouth, and is adjustable so that you can speak clearly to your teammates and/or party members without echo or ambient noise disrupting the audio and dialogue.
The speaker deliver amazingly clear audio. You can hear every footstep, every tire screech, explosion and crash in unbelievable clarity.
I highly recommend you check out the The Turtle Beach - Stealth 600 Wireless Multiplatform Gaming Headphones! These are now my favorite pair of gaming headphone.

This is a great headset to own and has a lot of battery life to it. To me it is comfortable as well, even with the rubber along the top of the headset. However, I had to get rid of these as there was a problem with the USB transmitter after a bit. I didn't give them back as I didn't want to have anyone deal with it, but I got an error after a bit about how it was having a power surge in the USB port, no matter where I put it. Hopefully this can get fixed. I did go get another set, but the XBox version. Those are working well so far.

The Turtle Beach headphones are quite impressive in terms of durability and build quality. They feel heavy-duty, which gives me confidence that they’ll last a long time, even with regular use. The design is sturdy without feeling too bulky.
The sound quality is another strong point. Whether I’m listening to music, watching a show, or gaming, the audio is clear and well-balanced. These headphones handle both highs and lows effectively, offering an immersive listening experience.
What’s really convenient is that they support both Bluetooth and wired modes, giving you flexibility depending on your needs. I appreciate being able to switch to a wired connection when I don’t want to worry about battery life.
One feature I’m still figuring out is the ear sensor. It seems like the headphones detect when they’re not being worn. When I had them on Bluetooth and took one ear off, they kept shutting off, which leads me to believe that they have a sensor that automatically turns them off when they’re not in use.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with these headphones. They’re durable, have great sound quality, and the option for both Bluetooth and wired modes is a nice touch. The ear sensor can be a bit annoying at times, but it’s not a huge deal.

Sound is heavy on the bass but overall good, mic has good definition on the sound of your voice, my head is kinda big so it can be uncomfortable at times
