    Weston Vs Cuisinart

I have a Cuisinart 7.5" meat slicer that I bought from Best Buy last year. Not too happy with it because you have to stop every 10' to let the machine rest between 10-15'. In search for a better one, I found this Weston 9" meat slicer, also from BB. Unlike Cuisinart, this one has more power and you don't have to stop every 10'. I could slice a 4lbs eye round beef for Shabu shabu in 15'. Non-stop. Just remember, the more frozen of the meat, the better for thin slices. In terms of cleaning, the Cuisinart is better in disassembled for cleaning, you can remove any movable parts to clean while this one is not. Also, Cuisinart looks and feels more durable than this. Time will tell which one will be lasting. Price wise, Cuisinart (7" blade) $79.99, Weston (9" blade) $89.99. Now, the choice is yours. I hope you find this information useful.

I used this for the first time this evening. I cut up a couple batches of meat for jerky. It was really easy to use and it sliced with ease. Clean up was fairly simple. I would like it if you could disassemble it for easier cleaning. I would definitely recommend this product.

We are slicing raw meats and cooked meats for all kinds of applications. From stir fry to jerky to deli meats. It is a sturdy device. A bit difficult to clean thoroughly but that is probably true to all meat slicers.

Best gift or self purchase you can get for a personal slicer. I’ve done frozen meat and fresh meat. I tried vegetables and cheese this thing works better then expected there’s just some personal preferences you will find out while using it. Super easy to clean and maintain if you’re looking for a slicer and you found this one just get it especially if you love to cook and do your own thing. Used it to slice chuck roast and make Philly cheese steak came out super tender

Have used it a couple times slicing homemade bacon. Works excellent and easily cleans up after using. Only wish the slide was deeper for a longer cut. As it came can only cut about 8” long slices. Then again the price difference between this and a commercial one that does that more than outweighs that only complaint

Good light duty slicer. Can deform a little with pressure causing slightly differently sized slices but for an inexpensive home unit, it’s great to have in hand.

I purchased this slicer due to its price and good review. Initially did not expect much because this product is much cheaper than many others. I've used this machine several months now and are very happy with it. I normally use it to slice frozen beef into thin slices for cooking. Definitely recommend it.

So far it is serving its purpose well. Being picky tho, I have to cut big pieces in half or more in order for them to fit on the slider. I like that I am able to choose the thickness of the slice. Its easy to clean. So far, I like it a lot !

Honestly does not live up to the brand name. It does an okay job. We sliced ham, turkey, and roast beef. Meat gets jammed and slicer does not handle if the meat is oddly shaped. My biggest complaint is that it does not disassemble to allow parts touching meat to be washed. A big disappointment

It's adequately powerful and a beautifully crafted machine. The finishing on it gives a feeling of a high quality product. It looks good when not in use and put to display on the kitchen counter. The size is big with the 9 inch blade, safely hidden from any accidental cut. Fozen and lightly thawed meet cuts beautifully and can easily be cut into super thin hotpot-like shaved steak.

A good value. It operates as intended. I only have a few suggestions. Replace the blade mechanism. It's a clunky. It's a bit inconvenient when attaching or removing the blade because some type of tool or a coin is needed. Also, the power switch could be simplified to make it easier to operate.

I like the larger diameter blade it seems to cut meat better than the smaller diameter blade on my previous slicer.

This is my first deli slicer and so far it has performed well from cutting paper thin vegetables to perfectly sliced cheeses and of course the perfect thickness of meats for awesome sandwiches ! And the belt drive protects the motor if you feed it too much at once, better than stripping a nylon gear drive like in some other deli slicers.
