I been using the Microsoft Natural 4000 at work average 40+ hours per week since 2015, now I work from home, I ordered this one due to the size fit my home office desk better. After two months work from home, I found I like this one better. - the gap between the whole rows of "function keys" (ESC, F1 - F12) and the "typing keys" eliminated. I use the "function keys" a lot - added "special keys" : (lock computer - very useful when I leave my computer for a moment and one key to lock my computer for security protection), (emoji), (snipping - just one key to clip and share), (Office key - quick access to MS Office apps) - one piece palm rest and feels like fabric more than polyurethane. - full size keyboard buy with smaller footprint than the MS Natural Ergo 4000 - keys require about 50 g of force to activate, don't make much sound and spring back quickly. It does missing the special key for email, lighted function lock key and the "delete" key right above the "backspace" key (so close that sometimes I accidently touch it) I hope the quality of the painted letters on this new key board will last longer, because certain keys of my MS Natural Ergo 4000 lose their printed letters from finger strikes (A, S, D, E, F, C, V, P, L, M, N, <, >, +, Enter keys)

This seems to be Microsoft's replacement for the old MS 4000 keyboard that they had for years. So far I like it. There are couple quirky things on key placement that are different that I need to adapt to but nothing super bad. It is a bit more sleek, lower profile for being full-sized and ergonomic. It does not have the typical kick-stands on the bottom that allow you to slightly raise the back of the keyboard but so far that has not been unpleasant. The keys are not janky or feel cheap when you type which is also good. It feels smooth typing along and not overly loud. The only downside? it's sold by Microsoft.

The keyboard itself is excellent. However, I was looking to upgrade to a mechanical keyboard from the previous model of this keyboard. THIS KEYBOARD IS NOT MECHANICAL. I add this because when I purchased it (1/11/2022) and when I'm leaving this review (5/6/2022) the product title still lists it as mechanical.
