A:Answerit's not going to get you a lot of jumps but if you follow the directions, it's enough to get a car started. It also has 2 USB ports to charge other things if you need. Not going to be a workhorse to jump 10 cars in a row but if you're in a bind, it's small enough to keep in the trunk and should get you out of a bind. I was skeptical too when i got mine but worked great when I needed it.
A:AnswerSome batteries (actually most of them) can develop an internal short, especially as they age. They then will lose their charge and fail to start your car. If the short is bad enough it can prevent a jumpstart from being useful to start your car. The short simply lowers the available voltage and current to the point where it can't do it. If your car battery is 5+ years old and you are having consistent problems with it, get a new battery. Don't rely on jumps to keep it going!
A:AnswerYes! You have to make sure you use the correct charger because I was having the same problem until I realized . I use the charging cable that came with it and a 12w usb iPhone wall plug and it changes just fine.
A:AnswerI took the charging cord provided and tied it in to my electrical system. (Key on power only) So that the box is always charging or maintaining its charge while I am driving. I am a couple months shy of a years ownership. Never have pulled out one (I have three) that is not fully charged. I have had occasion to use this item a few times.
