“Do pre-orders arrive by release date or will I have to wait beyond release date for it to be delivered?”

Video games do not arrive on release day anymore. Now they SHIP on release day. I am dealing with this for the second time in a row, and the worst part is I need it this time for early access. It's yet another aspect of Best Buy getting worse as a company.

Between this and Amazon ordering physical copies online is a waste of time just get a store where you can order in-store pick up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is hit or miss. Sometimes previous orders are received on the release date, but not always. I’ve had some that came days later. You should preorder for in store pickup and save the headache.

If you ever pre-order a game and the release date gets pushed up, youre especially screwed because Worst Buy over here wont reflect the change. MK1 came out early access 9/14 and they had copies in store for it, yet they wouldnt let me get my pre-order copy, saying "nope our internal system shows 9/19, regardless of what the system shows on your end, we're going by ours and not going to accommodate, sorry for the inconvenience" Others reported the same issue at other stores and via support and had their stores relent and cave in and give them what they're rightfully entitled to, but support told me it was at management's descretion AKA "they were being A-holes because they can"

I had placed a pre order for Splatoon that was released on September 9th it’s been 24 hrs and no code (because I got it digital) and nobody is trying to work with me! I can’t even cancel my order! This is the last time I would spend my money in Best Buy. I have called multiple times and they all just giving me their sorry’s, no! I need my game code or my money back ! This is total bs!
