But, if you go to a local hardware/improvement store they do have the air fresheners for AC/heating intake filters that may work. I haven't tried it although I would assume that would most definitely work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless the musty odor is coming directly from the container, it is unlikely an air freshener in there will do much for the odor in your basement. If the dehumidifier is running properly and the basement is still musty smelling that could be due to an active leak, water damage and/or a mold problem. You may benefit from mold testing from a good mold inspector.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If your basement has been musty for a while, you may need to mop or otherwise clean it, especially if mold is present. Also, if you have a lot of paper or cardboard in that space, or clothing you've stored, those may be retaining the musty smell. You might have to get rid of those items.
