The built-in drain pump provides you with the convenience of running your dehumidifier continuously! When the drain tube is connected and the water bucket reaches the correct level, the drain pump automatically pumps the water into a sink, out a window, or down a drain. --- A 16 ft. drain tube is supplied with the unit, stored in the bucket, and attaches to the drain pump connector on the back of the unit. The drain pump can pump up to 14 vertical ft. and you should not use tubing any longer in length than the 16 ft. provided. --- You can learn more about this connection and location requirements on page 5 of the Installation Manual found on the product page on our site. It also features a built-in drain pump and that allows you the convenience of running it continuously! If the dehumidifier is not collecting water, the unit is not operating properly. We'd recommend that you try to reset the unit by disconnecting power for 30 seconds and re-connecting the power. - If the unit is out of warranty and in need of a repair, check with local servicers to see if they service dehumidifiers.
