I have tried a 600 series Roomba, and it will not go over my area rugs because of the black borders due to the cliff sensors. Will this also be a problem with the s9 Roomba series? null

I don’t know. The s9 has is my first roomba and I chose it because of its ability to handle a variety of flooring. The s9 is working great in my home. I have hardwood, thin carpeting, thick carpeting, area rugs without fringe and it navigates well on all of the surfaces without incident. My one area rug has a dark brown border and it does fine.

While all robotic vacuums struggle with completely black floors, the s-series (s9 or s9+) include an extra sensor that solves this issue
