yes put the unit where you have the strongest signal possible and it will rebroadcast from that point with a strong signal on your side. You will be setting it up as a repeater\extender in this case.

You would probably need to plug it I. At your neighbors house to set it up then walk to your house and plug it in the nearest outlet to you neighbors house and you should see some improvement but they also make a little bit more powerful one also!!!

I think it would work. Join his wifi, connect the extended to his wifi, then connect to the _ext SSID it creates. Should work

Since there is a distance limit and best within line of sight, I am not sure this will work. I would check with Linksys support. They were very helpful.

Hello, captaintom. The range extender should receive at least 50% of the router's WiFi signal in order for it to be setup properly, and be able to broadcast the signal to your devices.
