I own both and can confidently say, they are the same except for color of the bottom. Both come with Unifying USB dongle, both also support bluetooth, both support switching to 3 systems and work with all software (including Logitech Options, etc.)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The difference is the support for logitec unifying software which allows you to have multiple devices controlled by your mouse at the same time. You can drag and drop files between computers with this mouse and software. The software compatibility and mouse capabilities are the real difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The M720 pairs via Bluetooth and doesn't need to have a USB in your computer. The Logitech Pro I believe does not have Bluetooth and takes up one of your USB ports. If that doesn't bug you, go with the cheaper one.
