• Region free means it will play any disc regardless of what country it is from.

• From the manual page 35 Region code (BD/DVD VIDEO only) Your player has a region code printed on the the rear of the unit and will only play BD/DVD VIDEO labeled with identical region codes or a disk with an "All" symbol. Not region-free or multi-region.
