I found that the 400 lights just about covered a 7 foot tree, though coverage was a little light in some areas. So for a 10 foot tree I'd definitely go with two sets.

They are a string of lights. I bought the 400 set and it was split into 2 strands of lights so i used each half on 2 6 5 inch trees. You use the app and camera on your phone and it recognizes each individual light. Youtube the set up. Its really cool, easy and so many opemtions and each one is fully customizable. Brightness color pattern and even has timer built in. Spendy but worth it if you can afford. I used vest buy rewards and got them on sale. Would definately buy again.

This set has one main controller with two strings that come attached, so they want you to start in the middle of the tree and take one string and work it from the middle down, and take the next string and work from the middle up, I feel like it covered a seven foot tree well as the lights are super bright at 100%, if I wanted to make it look better with the different functions if offers, like having text scroll, I’d have to get second set. So a ten foot tree might just be enough for a basic lighting effect. If you was that extra sparkle, better buy two.

This is 800 lights (2 set of 400 string lights together). So I’m sure this could work, but the more the better. But you need at least 600 lights.
