- Answer Yes. But the lights don’t connect together in the plugs like traditional lights. Each set of lights will need its own plug outlet. The lights are connected/synced together thru the app. So that is a disadvantage because you need outlets, and more lights with the set, the higher the price. Example if you wanted 1200 lights, your best bet is to buy 2 pack of 600 lights instead of 6 pack of 200 lights or 12 pack of 100 lights, because you will need an outlet for each pack.

- Answer No they can’t be cut. They are separated into 200 light bundles each. So the plug is in the middle of the set. The Twinkly Dots are one long string with about three feet of wire for the USB connection.

QuestionI have many strands of the strings and icicles. Are the dots better for any certain decorating as co pared to the strings. My question is geared more towards do the dots look better on a Xmas tree or stair Banister or outside porch posts etc.

- Answer Dots are better for use in areas that you don't want an electrical cord. They can be powered with a USB POWER BRICK as well as a usb plug. For example, I have them in my centerpiece on my dining room table. Pictured here.

- Answer Hi there, thanks for your question! In this case it's an RGB product, therefore they can reproduce white, but since there is no pure white, the colour is given by the sum of the primary ones, so it will tend to have reflections of other colours, e.g. blue/green for cold white, and yellow for warm white. With RGB-W on the other hand, you can select from the palette, directly the two types of white, for an optimal result!

- Answer Hi Simvend! It depends on what you mean by mega-tree... The lights could be used on every tree, although Dots in the 60LEDs version you quoted are specifically for indoor use, while Strings are IP44 certified and, therefore can be used outdoors. Consider that depending on the dimensions of your tree and the number of LEDs you purchase the final effect can differ a lot, I advise you to check our LED calculator, you find the link in the related article in our Help Center, it will help you find the number of LEDs perfect for your needs ;)

- Answer This set does not have the music thingy. The music feature is a separate physical object that's sold separately, and I think it works by listening to music that you are playing in the room, and making the lights synchronize with what it hears. I don't think it plays music directly itself.

- Answer Yes, they are rated for outdoor use. And yes, you can program them to do all of the things you suggested here and just about anything else you might want, including having them display animated GIFs if you have them laid out right. Though you will need to go through the mapping process in the app to get the best results.

- Answer I found that the 400 lights just about covered a 7 foot tree, though coverage was a little light in some areas. So for a 10 foot tree I'd definitely go with two sets.
