I have had several printers, But to me this Brother MFC9130 CW Color Wireless Printer is the Best I have ever had..I love it because of the Fax feature on it. I immediately within the next day or 2 after picking it up at the Bossier City La. store. I had the fax feature set up..I use the machine for personal use.. But to me its the Best Printer Fax Coppier machine I've ever owned...I wouldn't take any thing for it ..I would recommend this machine to anyone...

This is the second Brother MFC9130CW printer we have owned. doing homeschooling requires a lot of printing and we wore out the first unit over a 5+ year cycle. Just purchased this second one because we are so impressed by the clarity and sharpness of both color and black/white printouts. This product is easily maintained and will last you a long time.
The wireless capability of this unit is excellent as well. We have never had an issue with it even while sending printing to the system from multiple tablets, PCs, laptops or cell phones at once!
Easy to use touch screen feature allows for monitoring of toner levels, number of pages printed over the lifetime of the printer, tools, etc. You can even setup your own shortcuts in the menu!
Great product for all purposes: Printing, Copying, Scanning and Faxing.
Highly recommended!

I wanted to upgrade my existing MFC unit to one that supported AirPrint as we have iPads and iPhones that we wanted to print documents. However, there are a number of manufacturers that provide that capability now. In addition, I wanted to keep color laser functionality, ease of use, wireless connectivity, cost of use and reliability. My prior experience with a Brother MFC device demonstrated reliability over three years without a problem. That gave Brother an edge. However, but it did not mean that other manufacturers had been sitting idle.
Many of the MFC units theoretically met this standard. However, after reading the reviews and seeing the equipment, cost of use and reliability were the differentiators for me. There were many reviews that spoke to the high costs per copy with some devices. However, build quality leads to reliability in my mind. Some devices looked and felt flimsy. The Brother unit appears to be very sturdy and well made. At the price point of $435, I didn't see anything that was as good.
We've used the unit for about a month now. I'm very pleased with the MFC-9130CW. It's better than I'd hoped.

Great printer...a little big and heavy but this is not an issue with me. A little slow on the start and printing speed but I'm not in a hurry. Great quality printing especially with images. Has tons of extras like scanning, fax,and copying. Software installed on your PC allows all sorts of very nice features like scanning with several options, faxing with several options, etc. Very much worth the price. Would buy another if this ever dies.

Printer arrived earlier than expected from Best Buy online purchase. Color LCD (i.e. Laser) Brothers MFC 9130 CW was tightly packed and secure from damage. Nothing was missing-complete. It took between 30 to 40 minutes to unpack, setup, and print the test page. Installed as wireless printer with absolutely no problem. Interfaced with a HP Pavilion 23, 64bit OS Windows 7 SP1. Instruction book and fast set up cheat sheet was easy to follow. If you read the instructions first regardless of your competence, you won't have a problem installing. One issue was the Setup disk did not launch automatically as expected. However, a file search of the disk found the Install Setup file. Clicked on it and everything went as hoped. Those who complain of smudges on their documents is probably from touching the toner strip. Used nitrile gloves to prevent accidental touching of the toner printer strip. Very satisfied with color printed on standard stock printer paper-equal to or little better than most commercial/business color printers. Very easy to switch from color to all B&W documents. Hint: Look at your printer drop down window and look for preferences check box. Great printer at a very good price.

Very easy, quick set up had me printing in less than 10 mins! Printer arrived with protective packaging, removing all the protective packaging took longer than the set up. Print quality is far superior then my old ink jet printer. The big selling point was being able to print wireless from any where in my home.
Seriously you can't go wrong with this budget laser printer from Brother.

This is a wonderful printer for the price. My old one was a HP laser and it didn't last too long. I used it only at home. So I expected it to last longer. When it didn't I looked at this one. Ink was half the price of the HP and so was the printer. I have to say I am impressed. This was easy to install and set up on the computer. I am very happy with the speed and quality of the printing.

So far this is an excellent printer. It's fast and quiet, and easy to set up. We particularly like the clean enclosed look of it. There are not a lot of openings to collect dust, which is going to help keep it clean and working longer. It's worth the money.

I have now owned this printer/scanner/fax for a few months, and felt I had enough experience to finally provide a few thoughts on how I like it. I'll start first with the negatives, and then go to the positives.
Cons:
I was having some trouble with the initial install of the printer. The directions asked me to use the USB cable to connect the first time around. Unfortunately, this did not work for me (for some reason, the computer was not detecting the printer during the install). After much troubleshooting, I finally got it to work by unplugging the USB and using the printer to detect the computer (rather than the other way around). I'm not sure why this worked, but it did.
Another issue I noticed dealt with the manual feeder in the front. It takes several tries before I can finally get the feeder to attach itself to the paper correctly without giving me a "paper jam" message (even after I follow its directions to use both hands to push it through the feeder). This happened each time I used the feeder, and eventually settled with sticking the paper in the bottom tray instead.
I was really disappointed to realize that this printer was not an automatic double-sided printer (which was the main reason why I opted to purchase it in the first place... the Best Buy associate told me it was). Apparently, it was only "double-sided" if I printed manually (in which case, refer to the aforementioned "manual feeder" problems above). By the time I realized this, it would have been too much hassle to re-package the heavy printer and bring it back to the store.
It would have been nice to have an ethernet connection option. I don't seem to have issues with the wireless connectivity (though I have read that others have); but I would have liked to have that option of a direct plug-in in case there were problems.
Pros:
Probably my favorite feature of this device is the scanner. Compared with my old printer, this device scans material quickly and pretty easily. The software for this device is also pretty simple to use, so I don't have much trouble turning a document into a readable PDF, for example. If I am scanning paper documents, the feeder works really well (although, it did glitch once). If I am scanning books, I can get a copy of a chapter in a decent amount of time (it was definitely a lot faster than my inkjet scanner).
The second favorite feature is the copier. Although some copy jobs turn out a little darker than I'd like, I can get things to look OK after toggling with the touch screen to change the contrast, brightness, etc. When copying documents, the feeder on top, again works really well, and really fast.
Compared with my old inkjet, this printer is fantastic. The print quality is clean, crisp, and very clear. This, I believe is expected from a Brother device. As much as I dislike that this does not print double-sided, it is actually pretty simple to first print all the even numbered pages first, place it back in the bottom tray (face up & with bottom of page going in first), and then print the odd numbered pages. It is a little inconvenient, but at least it saves paper.
Overall, I am very happy with this device. There was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning (especially going from an inkjet to a laser), but I think it's worth it for the scanner/copier, and the higher-quality print jobs.
If you are still not sure of whether to get an inkjet or laser, I would say that it's important to consider some of the long-term costs. The print quality is much better with a laser printer, and the costs may not be as frequent when it comes to purchasing inkjet cartridges. But replacements for lasers, while not as frequent, can be much more costly (multiple toner cartridges, drum replacement, belt unit).

After getting tired of buying printers and having them fail after a year or two I decided to look for a new good printer. My last few were all in one inkjets so I knew I wanted an all in one. This printer fit the bill. Plus Brother is know for their reliability. After having this for a few months I’m very happy with it. Hands down the best printer I have owned. Very fast, great quality and easy setup. The top feeder was worth the little extra cost vs the model under this. Great for quick copies. The only downfall I see is that it is fairly large. I knew that going into it. But a warning to anyone with limited space.

My wife picked out this printer. I was a little leery, being an old HP user from way back. I was pleasantly surprised. This printer offers tremendous print quality for the price. It was very easy to set up. Unlike some other color laser printers, this one comes with a set of toner cartridges that are good for 1000+ pages. Awesome deal on an awesome printer.

This is a somewhat compact all in one laser printer with fax and scanner. It was not too difficult to set up and the wireless features picked up my network and laptop easily. Scanned documents or images load wirelessly to my laptop. The printing quality is very nice. Would recommend for a home office.

Honestly, I don't know much about printers and my boyfriend chose this one because he likes Brother products. I actually like the print quality better on my old HP Inkjet but he prefers laser. I really like how I can print directly from my phone but I wish I could print 2 sided although I don't know if home printers usually offer that function. Overall, this is a good printer.

Got tired of HP and minor problems they had (hardware - pulling paper, jams etc and software, cost of ink and toner (and yes - I refill myself). The Brother was much cheaper - speed is good, quality is good, easy to install - mine is all wireless. They give you a FULL set of toner rather than enough to test it - that's $150 right there. Very happy I made the switch.

From the easy set-up to the first printing, every step was perfection. Absolutely no glitches or errors with the set-up. Every direction was spot-on. The print quality is excellent. No runs, no drips, no errors. Toner cartridges are the way to go. For us, ink is a no-win situation. This product is a winner.

I've been using this Brother scanner/printer for about a month and overall I am very pleased with the quality and functionality.. It's pretty heavy and seems fairly well built, and I appreciate it doesn't require a lot of extra space for trays and paper chutes that others often have hanging off the ends. The auto-feeder works well and the scanner is pretty speedy compared to my old one. The first copy prints out in about 15 to 20 seconds from sleep mode, and delivers a solid quality color print. My one complaint is that it took me hours to figure out how to get it to scan documents to pdf files, It's not exactly plug-n-play, with lots of trial and error required, but now that it's working, I am happy with its performance. I did some price comparisons on toner cost among various printers and found the price per page for this machine to be one of the most economical for machines in its class. Very happy with this purchase and would buy it again if I had it to do over.
