I had an inkjet printer from another brand, and was disappointed by the print quality. If you print infrequently, the nozzles tend to dry up and you end up cleaning the printheads far too often. I decided to get a color laser printer, and I'm very pleased with my choice. Being that it's an HP, it's well-supported on all my computers. Time to first page is surprisingly fast, even when the printer has gone to sleep for days. The print quality is excellent for what I'd call "business graphics", and color photos are respectable. It's true that the per-page cost is high due to expensive cartridges, but for my use it's ideal. It prints the handful of pages I need a few times per week promptly and clearly, and I don't feel like I have to pamper it for that to happen. It also prints surprisingly fast for a color printer. It's been a good investment for me in my home office.

After searching through specifications and reviews for several weeks, I settled on this Laserjet Pro HPM454dn printer. I chose it because it only weighs about 40 pounds, so I can lift it and carry it with relative ease. Because I need to be able to move it myself, I had to forego more elaborate printers. I would have liked to have an integral copier, but that was not possible. Having used my last HP color laser printer for over 15 years, I knew that I wanted a laser printer again. As predicted in reviews, I have found that the color reproduction from the new printer is not as good as from my old printer. It is merely adequate. Fortunately, I had professional help in setting it up and do not use a wireless connection. I purchased it from Best Buy so I could get local service if I need help with repairs in the future. Also, they also provided delivery to my home, which, because of the pandemic, I wanted. I would have paid more to get a printer/scanner which doesn't weigh more than 50 pounds and which prints better color photos. However, I would purchase the HPM454dn again under the same circumstances for the same reasons.

We love our new LaserJet printer. We had a couple of hiccups getting it to connect wirelessly to devices at first, but discovered that the problem was corrected by restarting the device (so it likely wasn’t a printer issue). I should also note that while you can print from devices without connecting them to the printer, the printer itself does not connect wirelessly to your network. It was not an issue for us, but I misinterpreted the specs and did not expect to have to connect via Ethernet.

Excellent print quality. Fast, good power save. Just make sure you're OK without wireless on this model, or else look at the w model.

Works well as described. Good color, functions well. Only had it for a few months but good so far. Prints good from Mac's, I don't like the sleep features However, no way to turn it off. It's for a business so it's rather annoying that it has to wake up and sometimes doesn't fully wake up in time for the print job. Overall it's good.

Talk about solid, reliable, and fast!!! This one is just what I was looking for. I am very happy with this purchase!!!

Perfect printer for home or office. This is my 3rd HP laser printer, switch from Dell a couple of years ago. Works great on both PC and Mac as I have both. Setup was easy enough. Haven't had any printing issues and unlike ink jet printers, it still prints even if you do not use it for awhile.

Good quality. Prints pretty quickly. Networked via LAN. Can network wirelessly and also setup for direct wireless with a network.

These are excellent little work horses...have bought some of these printers previously and would definitely buy again.
