||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 2 of the first gen google homes. They works great but this is TERRIBLE! It won’t stay connected to Bluetooth on my iPhone! It will disconnect after a few minutes. Searched online and it’s a problem google has been aware of for years! Don’t see why they still sell these when they KNOW there’s an issue they can’t fix! Returning it soon as Best Buy opens! Getting the Echo Dot instead!

Posted .Hi Shaya, we appreciate your feedback on Nest Mini. We're sorry to hear about the Bluetooth connectivity issues you are experiencing with your iPhone. If you haven't tried yet, here are some recommended steps you can try out to isolate the issue:
- Try pairing your Nest Mini with other mobile or tablet devices to see if you can recreate the issue.
- Check for possible nearby interference sources like other Bluetooth devices, high voltage appliances, or devices connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. If possible, place both devices in the same room.
- Clear all paired Bluetooth devices with the voice command: “Hey Google, clear all Bluetooth devices.”
If none of the steps we provided above seem to be helpful, then we recommend contacting our support team and we'll do our best to help you with your concern. Our support team would be happy to assist your further here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Terrible experience with this product.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ridiculous, convoluted set-up procedure - even after SIGNIFICANT time invested in the set-up - many “functions” stopped working. The Google device caused so much trouble, it was inconsistent in its functioning, during the long set-up it had me make too many decisions that I didn’t know what I was deciding for, and it required voice training & set-up on each device. Purchased an Echo dot and completely satisfied with set-up and functionality. The Echo Dot set-up took about an hour and a half but went fairly smooth. I did need to create an Amazon account but it did not require that I put a credit card in. The Alexa app does grab any contacts in the cell and although it gives the appearance that you can choose for it not to grab contacts it is very difficult to stop it from grabbing the contacts and once the contacts are in the app you cannot delete them - you can delete contacts you manually enter within the app. The set-up on one Echo Dot did transfer to the other Echo dot - time saver. No voice training was requested and others visiting seems to have complete access. The reminders work well it repeats twice and then stops. It reminds you exactly as you asked it to. My brother had the echo dot say the rosary with my father.

These things are trash!!! Get an Echo / Alexa
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These things are trash. There's always an issue with these things! Either it won't connect with my YouTube Premium account, or it just out doesn't work for weeks on end. LOL, even hooking these silly things up to any kind of lights or home automation is an awful experience and never offers the same level of automation as Echo / Alexa. I have like 6 in my house and I just gonna throw them in the trash and get an Alexa.

Posted .Hi Nate, we appreciate your feedback. We apologize for the poor experience you have with Nest Mini.
If you haven't tried yet, we recommend performing a factory data reset on Nest Mini to help fix the issues you're having. This will erase all data on your Nest Mini and you may set it up like a brand new device once it finishes the reset process. To reset Nest Mini, check on the side of your device, switch the mic off. The lights will turn orange. Press and hold the center of the Nest Mini, where the lights are on top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting.

Posted .Hi Mytoys, thanks for the feedback, and we’re sorry to hear your experience with playing your own music playlists using your Nest Mini.
You can still play music using YouTube Music and Spotify for free, but you'll hear a station of songs inspired by the song, album, or artist. You may not get specific songs, albums, and/or artists, but you can ask for music based on genre, mood or activity. You can link your music services and pick a music service as your default to enjoy music from popular music services by artist, song, genre, album, playlist, mood or activity. This default service will be used first when possible. Please see the steps below:
- Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
- Open the Google Home app.
- At the top right, tap your account.
- Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
- Go back to the home screen, and at the top left, tap Add, tap Music.
- To choose your default service, tap the music service you'd like to use. Assistant will use this service when you say “Hey Google, play music.”
Here are the list of music apps and partners you can use with your Nest Mini: https://assistant.google.com/explore/c/10/

Please Login Through the Google Home App
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own both the original google home speaker and this one and I have never had a problem with the google home one but have had nothing but problems with this one. I don't know if I received a faulty unit or not but every time I try to tell it to do something it just tells me to login through the google home app even though I am 100% logged in. Multiple factory resets later and conversations with support and it's now just in storage collecting dust as I switched to an Alexa.

Terrible Product! DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 2nd Gen Nest Mini is terrible. All the claims google makes on what this device can do is a lie!! You can’t make a speaker group, pair two speakers for stereo sound, and you can’t move music from one speaker to another!!! Come to find out this has been going on since it launched (put in google search... “nest mini will not play in speaker group”) and see hundreds of threads making the same claims about these issues. Also Google’s customer service is terrible... they do not seem to care!!! These issues still aren’t resolved. Waste of money!!!

Bricked in less than two months
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I admit I got this Nest Mini free when I purchased a TV from Best Buy. I set it up and played around with it a bit. After several weeks, it decided to magically disconnect from my Google account. I unsuccessfully tried to reconnect, then resorted to removing power for a few minutes and plugging back in. The device is now bricked - no lights, no response at all. I tried a factory reset - lights, no response. I look online and see I am not the only one with this problem. Not happy, but I guess I got what I paid for. Certainly not likely to purchase another Google product.

Posted .Hi Marylander,
Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear you experienced an issue with your Nest Mini.
If you haven't tried already, we recommend plugging your Nest Mini into another power outlet. You can perform a factory reset to see if it turns on by following the steps below:
- Press and hold the factory reset button located below the power cord on the bottom of Home Mini. - Look for a circle etched into the base. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process.
- Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more until you hear a sound confirming the device is resetting.
If it doesn't turn on, then please feel free to reach out to us further assistance here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/contactflow

Overpriced Speaker
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have two and they work somewhat decent when they actually do work. Mostly have them for music and they will respond to voice to start the music and change a few tracks, then they no longer register any voice command. What's the point of them if they only do half of what they are designed to do? You can purchase a bluetooth speaker that sounds much better than this and it won't promise to do something it can barely do (voice commands). Stay away unless you want a half functioning product.

Posted .Hi Boonis,
Thanks for your review of Nest Mini. Sorry to hear about the difficulty with voice commands on your Nest Mini. We know it can be annoying to have a device that doesn't function as well as intended.
You can try the steps below and see if they help with the issue:
- Restart Nest Mini, unplug the power cord from your Nest Mini for a minute then plug it back in.
- Adjust how sensitive Google Assistant is to “Hey Google”. Here's the link on how: https://support.google.com/assistant/answer/9712065
- Reactivate Personal Results for the Google Assistant as this will help improve the voice recognition. Here's how: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7684543
- If it's still the same, try performing a Factory Data Reset. On the side of your device, switch the mic off. The LEDs will turn orange. Press and hold the center of the Nest Mini, where the lights are on top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more until you hear a sound confirming the device is resetting.
We care about your experience with our products and services. If you'd like us to take a look at your Nest Mini, please reach out to our support team here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/contactflow

Great idea but extremely unreliable implementation
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One out of two purchased constantly looses connection and ALL SETTINGS. It might be weekly, once in a month or even daily (as it is right now). Google claims in the poor Wi-Fi connection. But here is the thing: second device works like a charm and never had a single issue at the same spot or nearby, so it is definitely not a connection issue. Moreover, how would poor connection cause device to drop settings and reset itself.

Posted .Hi ColeMomma108,
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We value your feedback and we're sorry to hear that you had an issue with your Nest Mini.
Connection issues may be caused by several reasons such as Wi-Fi network congestion, outdated app version, an issue with the Spotify app or account. We also suggest performing a factory reset on Nest Mini to make sure it is cleared.

Complete Crap
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, you have to plug it into the wall and it can't be moved. It does not charge and is not portable. My wife and I set it up, but it wouldn't sync right and we found ourselves just never using it. It came free with our Nest cameras and doorbell. It's in the garbage now. We'll just use our nice JBL speaker instead of this little thing, and Siri does just find for searching things by voice command. Don't waste your money.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.- I have to stand within 8 feet of it and speak louder than my normal voice for it to hear me. - Every time I get its attention, it pauses my tv program momentarily - doesn't connect to Smartthings to control my motorized blinds - Doesn't connect to wireless external whole house speakers like Denon Heos. - no external headphone jack - poor iPhone app , devices can ONLY be grouped if they are in the same room. - Alexa Echo is way better
