- A: AnswerThe Pro Controller doesn't come with some of the obscure freatures that the Joy Cons have, but it does have HD Rumble, an NFC Reader (for Amiibos), and apparently the battery last twice as long as the Joy Cons (the Joy Cons being 20 hours, and the Pro Controller being 40 hours), along with some other features. The Pro Controller is more comfortable and more accurate then the Joy Cons. You can especially see the difference between the controllers when playing a game like Splatoon 2 that has an emphasis on accurate shooting. Overall the Joy Cons are more casual, and the Pro Controller is more hardcore. Another little bonus is the wire that comes with the Pro Controller. The Pro Controller charges uses the same wire that charges the Switch, so you don't have to take part your Switch dock whenever you need a protable charger for your Switch.

- A: AnswerI know that there's a controller calibration in the settings but that is for the sticks. I'd say if you use the d-pad in a game and it responds in all directions you have a working pad. Its not like its pressure sensitive, so its all or nothing with the pad. Mine hasn't given me any grief and I've used the daylights out of it and I can be pretty abusive to my gear.

Buy nice or buy twice.
Best choice for quality, performance and durability. Holds a charge for a surprisingly long time. Perfect size for larger “adult” hands and anyone used to a PS controller. Recommend by a friend who has had one for 4 years with zero problems. Very glad I purchased this controller over a cheaper alternative. Do yourself a favor and don’t mess around with the other junk and just get it.

Expensive...But a must!
I've been using my JoyCon Controller that came with the Switch and didn't really mind using it...until my brother finally convinced me to buy the pricey Pro Controller. I have to admit, I absolutely love it. Zelda is so much better to play with the Pro. It is literally night and day how much better the feel is. No more reaching for buttons or trigger, it just feels right. The most similar controller to the Pro is the Xbox Ones Controller. Pros: Comfortable, Great Battery Life, Micro USB Charger, ~Xbox Like Cons: Price, Color, Cable Length Bottom Line: I you have there money, buy it ASAP and you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful controller, would recommend!
The controller is convenient to use especially for when you are playing for a long time. Using the small controllers when playing for long periods of time can get difficult, but using these makes it more comfortable to use. Flicking on the controller is really easy for the times when I get that desperate in the game and need to speed up ny actions. Overall, this is a really good purchase and would recommend for people who are not quite use to the small Nintendo controllers.
