In most cases a regular 20-amp breaker would suffice, as long as you don't have other high-draw devices on the same circu Level 2 chargers can draw 40 amps. So you needa 50 amp breaker. All of these requirements can vary. This Level 2 charger is 40 amps. But l still have it on a 50-amp circuit. For a maximum of 50 amps, you’ll need a wire gauge of 6.

It is advised to use 6 gauge copper wire with this setup. This should easily support a 40 amp juicebox installation.
