Great price for ink tank printer (Best Buy price matched online very quickly, online tech assistant made the purchase a breeze). Setup was pretty easy. I was a little hesitant about filling the ink tanks but had no issues. I can print from my IPAD and phone quickly. Would definitely recommend.

I am the type to do extensive research before making most purchases. This is my first inkjet printer and to be honest I was nervous. I’ve read that inkjet printers have to be used very often or else the heads would get clogged. But I heard between epson and canon, canon’s heads are replaceable or easier to replace at least. HOWEVER.. I didn’t use the printer for months and I was getting really scared to use it. And I ended up procrastinating the day to use it again. When the day finally came.. I was incredibly nervous..I was ready to spend some money.. but thankfully it was working fine! I tested out a couple test prints just so I can clear anything wrong, and it was good as new. I’ve printed graphics and photos and they all come out beautifully. I’ve left a print of a drawing in the Sun all summer to see if the ink faded, and it pretty much stayed the same. Of course if I upgrade I’m sure it’ll be even better but for a budget friendly printer I’d say this is high quality.

I bought this printer to print my daughter’s art on various types of sticker paper and iron on fabric for t-shirts. It printed beautifully! We have printed about 10 t-shirts and 20 pages of stickers so far and the ink is still full. We are very happy with this printer!

This printer was chosen for two reasons; First, it is a Canon. Our last printer was also a Canon, and it was a workhorse that far outlasted its expected life. So, another Canon was what we wanted. Second, we were tired of constantly replacing cartridges, and wanted an eco tank.
After running off 100 two-sided letters, we like that no cartridges needed replacing and the ink levels barely moved, The speed was much better than our last Canon printer. Finally, the quality of printing and included photos was very good.
Also, the set up was easy breezy, taking only a matter of minutes.
So far, we are quite pleased with this printer, and hope it too lasts far beyond it’s expected life.

Wonderful printer. Followed directions and it works awesomely. My second Pixma, first with the mega tanks and I am really impressed.
All devices print without fail on wi-if, and this thing is quick on letter form copy. Photos great as well. Great product, and as a bonus it looks good too.

excellent printer! I bought it to print my wedding photos and they turned out beautiful and amazing. I could not be happier with it.
A:While I cannot speak authoritatively on this, I doubt Canon printers can use sublimation ink. Canon bubblejets print by momentarily heating the ink which creates a bubble at that location, propelling a droplet of ink from the print head. This is why cheaper inks (non-gel based) end up ruining the printer. All inkjets, in contrast, use a piezo diaphragm to push ink from the print head. It is less accurate and the droplets are larger and less controlled, but because it is a physical process, ink formulation isn’t very relevant. Hence, sublimation ink works in inkjets but might be problematic in bubblejets.
Sorry for the book but I hope the information is useful.
A:Each ink port has a distinct shape that matches the intended colors bottle top. I have bought only the canon brand ink bottles. They seem to have the bottle neck and top molded to the bottle itself, so not impossible, but difficult to interchange. Maybe a 3D printer or probably some way to press the port open and pour ink rather than the fitted top? Great little printer and they are not lying about the 2000+ pages per ink refill!
A:3 colors, 1 black. They give you enough tank to fill each tank one time. I am not sure of the exact cost of the ink colors. But they are reasonable, much better option than cartridges. I am not impressed with the printer, it’s very lightweight and very noisy. We’ll see how long it lasts
