What is an LCD display?

In recent times, a new player has entered the scene – mini- and micro-LED screens. Mini-LED technology takes the advantages of LED displays to the next level by incorporating smaller, more densely packed LEDs. This innovation allows for even finer control over backlighting, resulting in enhanced picture quality with improved brightness, contrast and color accuracy.
Mini- and micro-LED TVs and monitors are particularly gaining traction in the high-end gaming and professional content creation markets. The precise control over backlighting not only improves visual quality but also enables features like local dimming, where specific zones of the screen can be dimmed or brightened independently for more realistic performance and HDR quality.
