A: Sam, Find the number of your original power adapter that came with your original purchase. It is likely to be a two digit number that is that is followed by "W". If the new Apple power adapter "W" number is as high or higher than the original number and the output socket matches the one on your original adapter you should be good to purchase and use a new Apple power adapter. From experience I dont recommend an adapter from any other manufacturer!
