Alternatively, a garden hose can be attached to the rear of the unit to drain out moisture as it is collected. Portable ac
Works well, a little loud but not too bad. Had to return after a few months of use but had protection plan as return policy no longer effective. Highly recommend protection plan.

Doesn't fully vent vapor
Doesn't vent all the vapor/water out the window. I had to put it up on a stand and use a vent hose because the internal water reservoir (which is tiny) kept filling up too quickly. Since it was not near a drain, I had to cut a hole in the plastic piece that goes in the window for the normal air vent. The solution is a hack job, but at least it works. My issue is, the comparable GE unit I had in this room (purchased last year) did not have this problem. We moved that unit to my daughter's room and all is fine there. There is a room size difference, but still, that unit worked fine in our room all last summer and is fine in her slightly smaller room now.
