Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Deluxe Edition - PlayStation 5

This game is absolutely incredible. The UI and quality of the game went above and beyond my expectations. The enhancements made to the game certainly improve the incredible experience from the first game in the series (Jedi: Fallen Order). The story is fantastic. Character exploration = Top Notch. World building = INCREDIBLE, *No Story Spoilers* but one thing I love about “Jedi: Survivor” (J:S) is that the player/Cal Kestis starts off with a lot of the skills learned throughout Jedi: Fallen Order (J:FO). I also love that the designers activated ‘fast travel’ abilities from all the save points, I’m currently playing my way through the game for a second time, which has been an even more incredible experience. The new Jedi Lightsaber stances are AMAZING. I urge everyone to try them out—each lightsaber stance has different benefits for various fighting scenarios, Incredible force ability enhancements.

Great soulslike gameplay and exploration that feels like an open zone uncharted with a solid Star Wars story to boot.

Performance keeps it from being perfect but if it wasn’t an issue, this game would get 5 stars. Absolutely amazing and fun gameplay, amazing graphics, great story, and everything a Star Wars lover would enjoy is here to play with. One of the best Star Wars games ever made!!

Where do I even start? The long story short is this game is incredible. From satisfying and deep lightsaber fighting, to the craziest parkour and movement sequences, detailed and beautiful new planets, side quests and bounties, extraordinary character development and story, grand customization, and thrilling but challenging boss battles, this game is an absolute must in my mind. It’s the perfect sequel to Fallen Order: at its core, very much the same foundation and familiarity. But every part of the game people didn’t like or had mixed feelings on has been improved in this game (and the first game was full of great reviews and critical acclaim and audience praise). Fallen Order was my favorite game of all time. I don’t think it’s the BEST but it’s my favorite. It’s hard to beat the lightsaber combat and adventure of exploring. This game easily took its place. I will note that some people have said the frame rate isn’t great in some spots, but I only had minor issues a couple of times. They are also releasing updates in these weeks following launch to continue to improve performance. I played on PS5 in quality mode and it was great. I know PC users have more of those issues (currently). The average person won’t notice much. I never write reviews, but I felt like this game deserves it. If you are looking for a gift for someone who likes Star Wars or video games, this is a great pick. I would have loved this gift to pieces as a teen (the type of gift that is the first one said when friends and family ask what you got). Same thing for an adult friend with those hobbies. If you like adaptation games like Arkham, Spider-Man, or Hogwarts Legacy, buy it. If you love Star Wars or Star Wars games, buy it. If you liked the previous game, buy it. If you like games, buy it. Even if you’re not a Star Wars fan, this is just a really really good game, and the fact that it is a Star Wars fan’s dream is just the cherry on top. Respawn have done something truly special with this game, and I can only hope they make a third installment. Even typing this review at work has me so excited to play this game as soon as I’m home. I’ve had an action sequence in the middle of the game running through my head nonstop! You’ll be missing out if you pass this one up. Enjoy! excellent sequel to the hit original Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that somehow improves the already excellent story and combat of the original. Some examples being dismemberment as seen in the photo and a even longer story lasting me with side content so far 25+ hours of fun.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor No longer a Padawan, Cal has matured and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight. As the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order weigh on him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous. It's time for Cal to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him. The game itself is loaded with stuff (mechanics, things to collect...) and while some of it doesn't feel meaningful (loot is mainly for cosmetics, you can do gardening?!?) , the game still is a masterpiece. There is so much breathtaking scenery, the combat system is so satisfying and challenging at the same time and you have a lot more opportunity to make use of it compared to part 1. The planets are more complex and the game has a good balance of exploratory and linear parts. Also movement skills are more agile and i just love that you pretty much start where you left off in the first part. So instead of needing to learn wall running again you just get more mechanics and can do even crazier moves. Jedi fallen order was absolutely perfect but Jedi survivor is 50 times better than fallenOrder. I hope that the next is 100 times better than jedi survivor. Verdict Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes what Fallen Order achieved and wall-runs with it, then double-jumps and air-dashes straight into an epic lightsaber battle. Rather than taking us back to square one to begin Cal’s journey as a Padawan again, we’re trusted with control of a full-fledged Jedi Knight who we can grow into a master of superhuman mobility and fantastic and challenging combat. With a new set of larger, more diverse, and densely packed worlds to explore and a memorable cast of returning characters, Survivor tells a story that may be predictable but is still fun and at times emotional to watch play out. Launch performance issues aside, it’s a sequel that does virtually everything better than the original – which was already an exceptional Star Wars game. If Respawn makes one more like this it’ll complete the best Star Wars trilogy in 30 years, hands down.

Jedi Survivor is a fantastic, heartfelt story about a survivor of Order 66 coming to terms with mortality and morality. Although it has some performance issues, the story had me captivated for 30+ hours

Let’s be honest, it’s an amazing game. I see a lot of people complaining about the physical version not being on “disc” when it’s completely a lie, it is. People will find anything to complain about nowadays. If you’re a star wars fan this game is a must have.
