I did not hook up the sound bar directly to my tv. I used a Denon receiver surround system that has the left, right, and center speakers for the sound bar wired directly. Then a HDMI cable from the TV port on the receiver to the HDMI (ARC) port on the tv. I was suggest calling the Tech Squad and talk with them
