I fell in love with the look of this mouse when shopping. I love the lines within the design. The RGB is really well done. I was a bit disappointed when I first received the mouse. The left-click felt mushy and less tactile than the right. The side panels where the thumb and pinky rest also have this rough, chalkboard-like feel which was grippy but that feeling has always made me cringe. On a positive note... the left click issue resolved itself after a bit of use... and I got used to the feel of the sides so that that chalkboard feel just doesn't bother me anymore. This is definitely a claw-grip mouse which also took some getting used to, but now I love it. I'll even plug this into my work Mac as I've grown more fond of it than apple's magic mouse by far. I hoped for more customization around the buttons.. like the sniper button, I was hoping to route that to other game controls but it doesn't seem possible (although maybe the iCue software offers a workaround for this. The feet on this mouse slide much better than my previous mouse, and I like that I can adjust the weight to my liking. I love the tactile feedback in both scrolling and clicking the scroll wheel. The only complaint I have left is that the materierial that the two main buttons are made of collect a lot of oil from your fingers, so a vigourous rubdown is needed here and there. Great mouse.

The details: The CORSAIR M65 RGB ELITE tunable gaming mouse is CORSAIR’s is my favorite FPS gaming mouse yet. It’s built around a durable aluminum frame and equipped with a state-of-the-art 18,000 DPI optical sensor, which is extremely precise for gaming and esport competition or just casual gameplay. The Native 18,000 DPI adjustable in 1 DPI resolution steps, gives you total sensitivity customization and ultra-accurate tracking, making M65 RGB Elite an ideal FPS gaming mouse.
It’s built like a tank with it’s premium, durable anodized aluminum frame built with to withstand a lifetime of gaming.
I love the high-performance Omron switches rated for more than 50 million clicks and you can tune it to perfection with the advanced tunable weight system which allows you to adjust your mouse’s center of gravity, or reduce its weight to just 97g.
I love the eight fully programmable buttons. You can remap or assign custom macros to every click.
I really like the customizable RGB mouse backlighting which is stunning and provides me nearly unlimited illumination.
The sniper button is an added bonus to instantly reduce sensitivity for precise sniper shots. Plus, you have on-board profile storage and using the ICUE software you can have surface calibration.
Corsair’s ICUE software continues to evolve into a friendly customizable vivid dynamic RGB lighting control.
I just left the 3 weights in and it glides across my Steelseries QCK XXL mouse pad.
I picked mine up at Best Buy for $40.00, which is a steel for what you get. My thumb and fingers can reach every key with any problems.
NOTE: I’ve used the Glaive Pro RGB, RGB Dark Core SE wireless/wired and yet this little mouse is a powerhouse that is my daily driver.
With 6 DPI positions which you can change on the fly with each one having A separate color so you know what DPI is being used, plus my sniper button is set to 300 DPI.
Great job Corsair and Best Buy for having superb gaming tools to develop your system based upon your needs.

Coming from a Logitech G403 Prodigy, I knew this mouse had a much better sensor and would be a bit smaller. What I was surprised by, though, was how customizable the lights are in the software. I already have Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB RAM and a Corsair K70 keyboard (sadly not RGB or even the Lux, which has programmable LED's), and the mouse was able to sync up with the lights on my RAM. Since my keyboard only has red LED's, I found it was very simple to program it to be red but also share the lighting effect I have on my RAM.
For performance, it's about as good as it gets. The size and shape took a little getting used to, and it took me about a month to actually get used to it. Now, I'm practically in love with the shape of the mouse and the button placement, despite feeling small.
A/B comparing against my G403 (which now sits on my 2nd setup with my old computer), I can feel the size difference but it's just as comfortable.
My only complaint is that I feel as the right click is a little too easy to click and I randomly rick click sometimes on accident.

Performs well, feels good in the hand, never misses inputs, and doesn't look half bad. Randomly disconnects from any non-2.0 port I plug it into on any machine, but works fine on 2.0 ports.

This is an excellent mouse.
It is very precise.
I like the mousepad calibration on it.
The mouse I upgraded from is a "Corsair Gaming Sabre RGB" that was getting a little long in the tooth and one of the side buttons started double clicking. I can not use all the buttons without adjusting my grip on the Sabre. There is no mousepad calibration on the Sabre, and the Sabre is only 10k DPI while the M65 is 18k DPI, the 8k difference is definitely noticeable.
I can not use all the buttons on the M65 without adjusting my grip and even then I can barely reach the Sniper button and button 7 with my thumb.
I use a "fingertip" grip on mice and move them around the pad with my fingers.
I have tried many brands, Most brands fall short in weird ways, for example; I don't like how Razor puts the profile button on the bottom of most of their mice.... It should be moved to the top. I love Corsair products as they are usually very well rounded. I have a k65 RGB keyboard by Corsair and absolutely love it. I also have a pair of their wireless headsets. The HS70 Pro. So, just to state, I have tried other brands before and I look at the differences between brands a lot.
Continuing on about the Meeces, I would love it if manufacturers would make smaller mice, for us folks who use fingertip grip on mice. As I stated before, I don't tend to move my mouse around with my wrist and arm, I can use my finger tips and thumb to move the mouse around all three of my monitors without moving my wrist or picking up the mouse.
Removing just barely a half inch from the back of this M65 mouse would make it absolutely perfect for my needs. I would not call the Sniper button "Ergonomically placed" unless you use the palm grip or have larger hands using the other grip styles.
Another thing is the thumb rests on mice, Many of the Corsair mice styles would be far more perfect for me than the Sabre (which I loved the Sabre so much) and the M65, if it were not for the thumb rest... I use my thumb and/or my pink finger slightly touching the mouse pad to get precise movements during FPS Gaming. The slight thumb rest on the M65, which protrudes more than the one on the Sabre, does cause my thumb to travel further when I need to use my thumb touching the mouse pad to get precise movements using my thumb.
As always, the iCUE software just keeps getting better with each new release Corsair makes. There are a few things I would change about it, but that is for another day.
In conclusion, If you are looking for a great gaming mouse, I definitely recommend the M65 RGB Elite.

The control over rgb, macros, and the weight. Super responsive and durable.

A:Unfortunately you've now experienced Corsair quality, throw it away and get a Logitech or Razer. I've had 3 of these, and not a single one has lasted more than a year.
A:Hi Christopher,
Brand shouldn't be an issue, it would depend on how new/old the computer is.

A:It should work on a Mac with basic functionality. Corsair has also recently released their iCue software on Mac, so give it a try and see if it works!
