The drum light will be on when the door is open, or if the Damp Alert or Sound button (depending on the model) is pressed for 3 seconds. It will turn off if the door is left open for 5 minutes or you press the same button you used to turn it on for 3 seconds again. • Q: I have seen similar dryer models of GE in store and the drum seems to have alot of shifting or back and forth movement instead of feeling secure. Is there a way secure it better as I have compared other brands that don't have this front to back movement (1 answers)

  A: Yes the dryer needs a water connection to the cold water line. We replaced an existing steam dryer so all of the connections were already in place. I believe everything you need to make the connections are included with the dryer.
