Sounds great but damaged out of the box.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sub box and enclosure feels heavy and of high quality, but the corner was broken when i took it out of the box. It was shipped to my house.

Spendy
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty expensive for what it is, also (totally my fault) didn't realise it's only ONE driver; the otherside is just for looks I guess?

Great addition to any system
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent sound quality kicks nice and hard without distortion. One suggestion is add a capacitor to stop it from cutting out. I used a kicker class D 1000 watt 2channel amp and a 1 farad capacitor and even though the box is rated for 800 watts it handles whatever I throw at it

Great sounding subwoofer for the size
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sounding subwoofer for the size. Only issue I have with this sub is that it's only 400 Watts RMS at 2 ohms. I originally had two pioneer shallow Mount down firing subs hooked up to a kicker 600 watt amp and I wanted to get this kicker to see if it would actually sound better and I liked it because it was actually smaller than my current setup. However going from two 10s to the one 10 was not loud enough for me. Don't get me wrong the sub sounds great. Also keep in mind it's not two speakers it's one 10-in subwoofer driver and the other is a passive woofer that acts as a port to get deeper bass notes.
I would recommend this to a friend
Q: QuestionIf I already have an amp wired in my trunk, can this just tap into it?
Asked by acm1985.
- A:Answer Without knowing the brand, make and model of your amplifier I can't provide more advice than the following. The KICKER 48TRTP102 10" Down-Firing Enclosure presents a 2-ohm load to the amplifier connected to it and is rated to handle 400 Watts RMS/800 Watts Peak. For maximum performance of your speaker systems, KICKER recommends using an amplifier that is rated to produce +/- 20% Watts RMS of your speaker systems RMS rated power. So, with a 400 Watt RMS rated speaker system, KICKER recommends using an amplifier that falls within the 320-480 Watts RMS range. Always keep in mind that smaller amplifiers will also sound great but just not get you the full output (SPL, loudness) potential of your speaker systems. We always recommend setting the amplifier gains properly and do not operate your amplifier into clipping. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to KICKER Technical Support.
