The setup Shark - ION Rocket IR101 Bagless Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum - Fuchsia is easy to set up without reading the manual. Though I recommend you read it for the full features, the manual isn’t necessary to set up because everything snaps on into place and is obvious where things go. The key feature of this vacuum is that it is cordless yet powerful. The heaviest part of the vacuum is the handle itself, but it weighs approximately 2-3 lbs, so it’s manageable. Also, the vacuum quickly assembles into a portable hand vacuum, great for vehicles or for stairs. One final feature that I enjoy is the ability to charge the battery without the need of the vacuum. You can store the vacuum in a place with no outlet but keep the battery close to an outlet so that you can quickly charge it when you’re ready to use it. The performance of this vacuum is surprisingly good for being battery operated. At first, I didn’t think it had strong suction, but then I realized that when used to vacuum carpet you need to step on the head once so that it lies flat and press the carpet button. Once in carpet mode, it swivels nicely around edges and corners. It handles and moves forward on its own like a corded vacuum. The lights at the head of the vacuum are powerful making easy to see under furniture. The vacuum meets my expectations. I didn’t expect for it to be as powerful as it is. Being untethered makes me want to clean other rooms because I don’t have to go back and mess with cables or unplug it and replug it. This makes vacuuming faster. Putting it away also works wonders because it occupies such a small space. The only thing that is slightly disappointing is the dust compartment size, which is small. For that reason, I deduct one star, but that should be the only factor when deciding to buy this vacuum. The price for the vacuum in terms of value is comfortable and worth it for the suction power. I highly recommend this product for people who live in small spaces (like dorm rooms or small homes), or for people who find it difficult to carry heavy vacuums around. Also, this is a perfect vacuum to have around if you like doing the details in your vehicle yourself. This vacuum will not disappoint.

Straight out the box...... I looked over the quick start for literally 42 seconds. Unwrapped everything, put it together in under 2 mins. The batter pack was a little confusing but nothing major. All snapped together seamlessly and I was able to turn it on without charging it any. I vacuumed a small portion of my home and the suction bucket got full a little fast. I only have a 1500 sq ft home, a dog and hubby. So we don't have a messy house but it is old and dusty. This vacuum sucked up everything it came in contact with. Mostly hair and dust. A leaf and bug got sucked up quick. Dog food was easy to pick up, as my dog is super messy. It transitioned from carpet to tile pretty good but I felt myself forgetting to change settings on the vacuum. If ever I'm in a rush to vacuum, having to switch settings will annoy me. Extended runtime and max power is a no brainer to me. I prefer powerful suction, I don't want to re-cover an area because of poor suction. So that setting won't change. I really like the lit up handle area so that you can chose your setting in the dark. Likewise there is lighting on the bottom area so that you can see where you are going before you get there. I don't usually vacuum in the dark but some times I get in dimly lit areas so these lights help. There are plenty of tools to clean each area properly. I really like the oversized brush. I use this to clean my ceiling fans and my car seats. You can also see the battery power and when you need to charge it. Charging dock and wall mount doesn't come with this set. BUMMER. It does store easily if you unhood the handle part and hand it on the lower part of the wand. Looks silly but it's the only way to keep it from being too heavy. I prefer a wall mount. Easier to store and charge. It's not any louder than your standard vacuum. Not a fan of pink bc hubby doesn't wanna touch it. I messed myself over on that one. Lol Easy to clean and over all.......... I like it.

I've always been a little leery of battery powered tools, such as vacuums. I've never felt that they could really match the power that a corded item can give you. We have a traditional, corded vacuum and a cordless one. But with our carpet being a thicker grade carpet, I've always had to swap from corded to cordless when going from our tile to our carpet. With pets, there's hair literally everywhere too. So I was excited to try out the Shark Rocket since all my friends who've had Shark products speak highly of them. The vacuum arrived and was put together with three clicks, that's it. You connect the head to the neck and the neck to the trigger piece. One thing I really appreciate about the design of the Shark is that the battery pack is removable. That means, you can store the vacuum while having the battery charge elsewhere if, like us, your storage closet doesn't have an outlet. It's nice to not have an entire vacuum assembly sitting out just to charge a battery. Shark also makes a rapid charging dock that you can buy if you want something that charges faster. Compared to our other name-brad cordless vacuum the Shark handles just as well and even feels a bit lighter without the sense of being less sturdy. There are a total of four settings you can use: * Carpet * Tile / Hardwood * Extended Run * Max Power You can alternate these settings with a press of a button that is conveniently located by the ignition switch so you can change your settings real time as you clean without having to stop or change a head. That means that when I'm cleaning our tile kitchen, I can quickly pivot the settings when I reach the kid's carpeted bedroom without having to stop. The Shark handles our carpet so well, I was surprised that a cordless vacuum did the job almost as well as our top-of-the-line corded one! The shark also comes with other attachments that you can use for cleaning those hard to reach places, like under bookcases, entertainment centers or armoires where cat hair just loves to congregate. Another cool feature of the Shark is there's small headlights so you can see what you're cleaning in lower light situations - plus, as an added bonus, you can now chase your cats with it like you used to do with older vacuums! The Shark has a smart setting that is indicated by a green light on the head so you can take a quick glance and make sure you're getting the best cleaning you can. The Shark's battery lasts about as long as other vacuums in this class, but again, your milage may vary depending on what settings you use. Bottom line - we love this vacuum! It's lightweight, easy to use and most importantly, it cleans!

I wanted this vacuum mainly for the hand held portion to replace my “dead” shark cordless. I have learned that most cordless appliances that I’ve purchased over the years will lose their ability to hold a charge if you just leave them on the charger much of the time. I also wanted it to use to vacuum my new car. As I unpacked it, I realized that the “hand” portion is also the main part with the motor, which makes sense. Once I installed the battery, and put it together it became pretty unwieldily. In otherwords quite “top heavy.” The floor attachment is smaller and lighter than the top making it awkward to hold. There is only one vacuum tube which is pretty long so that the whole vacuuming process feels awkward at first. But the controls are well placed and intuitive. The suction was impressive for a cordless vacuum. It picked up cat litter and hair easily. It is also easy to maneuver under and around stuff. There was another issue of how to store it or even just how to rest it when you stop for a moment. It won’t lean easily. The floor vacuum attachment can’t balance the handheld motor attachment and the whole thing just rolls and falls on the floor. There is no on-board holder for the attachments, and it did not come with any way to attach it to the wall to store or charge. You have to take it apart and place the handheld attachment on a flat surface to charge it. Finally, when I used it on my car it vacuumed up the sand nicely. The problem there is that the crevice cleaner is VERY short and attaching it directly to the BIG handheld made it difficult to get those things that fall between the seat and console and other tight places. If you add the tube connector, it becomes too long to work in the interior of the car. I’ve only had it a couple of days, so it remains to be seen how well the charge holds. It has a nice bright indicator to show the amount of charge and it charged relatively quickly the first time. I think it may work for those quick clean ups and to clean my car as long as I don’t drop any French fries between the seat and console! Time will tell!

Overall.......This Vacuum which is battery operated and cordless, we like. The lights are helpful in order to see areas you may otherwise miss. All attachments come apart and go together easily.

Was hesitant on the purchase but was a BB deal of the day. Was about to buy the more expensive brand but couldn't pass on this price. Works great for us so far, love all the attachments that come with it and the lights on the vacuum head. Battery life has been sufficient for going around the house, no issues there. Overall, a great value.

I've been using this for about a month now and I am very happy with it. Battery stays charged for quite some time and seems to have great suction. Very easy to clean dust bin.

Ordered Tuesday morning, delivered Wednesday afternoon! That's pretty awesome. The vacuum goes together easily and the battery arrived 2/3 charged, so I finished charging it and used it about 15 minutes and it hadn't lost much power at that point. Using the brush roll pulls the unit along like a powered lawn mower. Pretty nice! I used it on bare floor, low pile carpeting, and plush carpeting. Also used it on the dog's bed. The hardest part was figuring out how to empty the dust cup - I had to read the directions lol It is easy to handle and picks up a lot of dust, dirt, and hair, so I hope it lasts.
