• A:Answer Probably not. #1 It is very slow. #2 it has a kid's interface with children's games that sits on top of the android o/s that has an option to be turned off. However, this tablet is mainly for kids in the range of 8-10. I only bought this device because I needed an inexpensive Android device to reconfigure my Sling AirTV box and I only had Apple devices which don't work on Sling AirTV. I would not recommend this device for a 86 year old. He would probably get very frustrated just booting it up.
