Well I don’t know about if it’s a new computer, but I had recently purchased a TV with a 2 yr plan and I cancelled the plan. It took them three weeks to return my money and I realized later that it wasn’t in my original form of payment ( to my credit card). I received a Best Buy gift card in the mail. I was upset to say the least as chat customer service said it would be returned to my card

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well for me I still had 14 days to return a laptop with the extra geek squad protection plan I bought with it and since I beat the return window I got my money back into my card without the gift card it took 3 days

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.For your sake and your computer's sake don't ever give up your protection plan on your product. Twice I have purchased $1500 laptops and both times they were spilled on and accidentally destroyed a few months before my plan was up and I got a complete refund and just purchased a brand new computer with even better hardware. Even if it doesn't break it still gives you peace of mind knowing that you will get either a full refund or the same product if not better, heaven forbid anything happens to it during your GSP plan.
