Please try again later.I saved and showed my receipt of my purchase item and they were able to replace the item but I don’t know if this can work for sure but they were also able to look up my purchases and information on my account I made through them so they might be able to do it that way if no receipt

Please try again later.I have used extended warranties on Xbox controllers several times and I always keep the box and receipt but I also had the Best Buy rewards card so even without the receipt they can scan the item and it shows up in their computer my purchase and the additional warranty on that item. And they have it down to the item. I had 2 controllers one that came with the Xbox and one I got separately and got protection on and my controller died and I remembered I had a warranty and it was able differentiate between the remote that came with the Xbox and the separately purchased controller with the warranty. I believe that they stopped having the rewards card like they used to and just rolled it into their credit card but all the data is still stored on your account the same way so they can look it up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There's a couple of methods that are used to determine warranty. The most reliable is to either have your receipt on hand. Outside of that it can be pulled from a copy of your receipt or attached to your myBestBuy account.
