It is stainless steel.

The trim kit also includes several other plain steel pieces that attach to the side, bottom and rear of the oven as well as screw to the front of the cabinet to hold the oven in place. The trim then snaps in place over the front piece which is screwed to the cabinet and bolted to the oven. It contains many more parts and involves many steps to properly install everything but the end result is great and matches the Samsung 30" in-wall black stainless steel oven we bought.
