The Insignia is actually built by LG specifically for BestBuy. So, you are getting the LG quality for a better price. The only companies that can get a "private Brand" are those who buy boat loads of products like Best buy. There are only 4 or 5 major manufacturers of Flat Screen TV's so for the most part all of them are built by good manufacturers. Consider the price and the features. The quality comes from the Korean (Samsung, LG, etc) and Japanese (Sony, Sharp, Mitsubishi, etc) manufacturers as they are stringent in their QC processes, and the components, even if the product is imported from China the Sony, Samsung, Sharp, LG (Insignia), Mitsubishi, etc) are all very solid products.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on the price, what you like about each, and so forth. If there's a huge price difference, it may be "you get what you pay for." Insignia is, I think, Best Buy's house brand. We have a ton of them and find them very good value for the money. Sharp is a "known" brand name and may have some particular things going for them - but I suspect not a lot more since these are commodity items. We've never been able to justify a higher price brand name just on reputation; when the chips are down we usually decide the lower cost ones are "good enough." All the "Roku type" TVs seem to be basically the same in operation - same software and viewing platform approach. "A" Sharp should be better, but every brand has it's highs and lows in their product line, so who really knows when it comes to what you want and need? I'd look at where it's going and how it fits or mounts, the speaker quality, how it looks in place, and, of course, what you think of the picture on each. It's a TV... LIke a toaster, you'll just have it for a while and then you'll get another some day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I compared both and like this one better than the Sharp and the price was less
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the 48" Insignia Roku tv and am very happy with it. It is for the children to watch their YouTube videos and Amazon prime movies.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A few years ago I got 40 " Sharp tv and was not at all happy with the picture quality. In the last 3 years I have owned a 32", and now my 48"screen Roku Insignia, I think they can't be beat. Also the price is much better than the more known brands, but the the quality is all there. Insignia is an excellent tv, I love mine, and would recommend it to anyone.
