A:AnswerI just called them to renew our protection plan on our fridge that I thought expired on purchase date, but does not expire until installation date, and they informed me that the Geek Squad protection plan will automatically renew on the Best Buy Credit card annually at $99. I don't know if I set this up at purchase or if this is the norm if you use a Best Buy Credit Card. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerContacted GE after the replacement refrigerator was delivered. They told me they would of replaced the refrigerator, the only cost would be the delivery cost. Contacted Best Buy and they told me that if I excercised the GE replacement not the best-buy replacement they would have extended the warranty. Nice to know after the fact. Curious…. I bet happy senior who responded to my question is a employee of Best Buy? so knowledgeable … Bottom line the $ 400 I paid for piece of mind was a rip off.
A:AnswerIf you bought the appliance with the extended geek squad warranty from what I understand as long as something broke on it that’s within that warranty time. The only thing you’re supposed to do is call up
Best Buy I would ask to speak to a manager this way you bypass everybody else. Tell them you have the product tell them you have the extended warranty tell them it’s not working and that from what you understand with the warranty that you bought the item needs to either be fixed or replaced. When can someone come out and do this it should be that simple.
A:AnswerI’ve been buying extended warranties for a while now I never heard of any kind of deductible. You pay one time when you purchase the product for the extended warranty and that’s it
A:AnswerThat is actually a great question. I would call up Best Buy and speak to a manager and ask if you can do that I don’t think you can but that’s still a great question.
A:AnswerYou may or may not have to I would wait for the person to show up and instruct you on what yo do. Why go through the trouble if you don’t have to correct?
A:AnswerBe patient and courteous to the appliance staff and they will work out any price differences, especially considering a unit or similar unit has increased in price.
A:AnswerI’m not sure where you’re from but I’m in Long Island New York I happen to know the managers personal number. When I called him right from his phone, he is able to look up all my past purchases and see all my warranties what I would do is I would call up Best Buy and your case asked to speak to a manager not an associate not a customer service rep call the store the actual store where you bought it speak to a manager and ask them if they can access it via computer and then they should be able to answer all your questions
A:AnswerI had a whirl, pool item it broke. I didn’t have the geek squad warranty. I wish I did in my opinion do not buy anything from whirlpool, especially their warranties which are terrible. Always buy the warranty from Best Buy directly. This is because if there’s a problem they come and fix it end of story.
A:AnswerI believe that pertains to the warranty that you have some warranties fall under a Subscription type of plan. Will you pay for it once a year or every six months that you’re able to cancel all the type of warranties is a one shot deal where you pay for it when you purchased a product like I recently bought a washing machine and a refrigerator and I specifically bought the Best Buy five year warranty I don’t believe you can cancel that and get any money back. And honestly why would you ??
