Q: QuestionPurchased a 5 yr GSP for a new samsung range in 2017. One of the burner knobs fell off the front. The receiver (where it slides on to the control stem) apparently cracked and fell off. Is this covered? Please advise.

• A:Answer Don't think that would be covered as it's because of someone turning the knob to far on or off. It takes quite a bit to break one of those, but you can always ask them. I am sure the knobs would have to come from the mfg., and not the geek squad.

Q: QuestionI purchased a Bosch D/W and the 5 year Geek Squad plan. What are the differences between Geek plan vs. the manufacturer extended warranty. With the latter, there are no deductibles & if they can't repair it or find parts, they will replace the unit.

• A:Answer I believe the manufactures warranty is separate from the geek squad plan. The mfg's warranty is straight from the plant that the product is made and would cover a limited amount for any quality issues that the geeks squads would not cover. I would suggest reading the fine print from both warranty's.

• A:Answer If im not erong i believe it is after the manufacturer warranty, but usually it is like that anywhere even wally world. I belive the manufacturer warranty will usually be better and easier because they will replace the item if can not be fixed. The store itself has it's return warranty policy as well. Each store differs but i believe at Best Buy the store return warranty on sum iems is 14 days as to others are 30 days from the day of pick up.

Q: QuestionI have a 3 year Geek Squad plan on my new TV. I just picked up the TV today. I followed all rules for transporting and unpacking it. There is a small dark spot in the picture. The screen itself is not scratched or cracked. Will this warranty cover that?

• A:Answer When this happens it is advised to take the TV back immediately. The best option is always free delivery when you're buying ATV so that there is no questions on who is at fault. Usually Best Buy will just replace it instantly for you they are not in business to run off customers they're in business to help and provide a service.

• A:Answer In my case the geek squad protection ran concurrently with the machines original warranty. It did not start at the end of the original warranty. Apparently the geek squad warranty covers some things that the original warranty doesn't. I think the original warranty was one year.
