First thing you should do is go to the monitor settings, under picture go to advanced, and turn off noise reduction. That noise reduction is causing much of the ghosting. That was the first thing I turned off and left off, and it made a big difference. The second thing is to determine what you're watching. For sports, you can set the motion option to smooth (though i wouldn't use the two higher options). For TV shows I'd leave it at none. When I use my PS4, I set the motion option to 24P. It has provided the best results for movies and the least lag for games. once the noise reduction was off, I haven't seen ghosting since.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The adjustment for Backlight and Brightness can be adjusted along with Contrast to get a better picture. It sounds like you had the Backlight setting too high. I turn up the Contrast and lowed the Backlight and Brightness settings to give better scale to the picture.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We had the same thing happen but geek squad came out and it was an air pocket behind the front screen. Wiped it down with a slight pressure and it disappeared.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is very common and is exaggerated when the backlight setting is too high... try going with a higher contrast setting and lower backlight settings. The issue is due to lighting uniformity and nothing to do with the motion settings some other answer that was chosen as "the best" .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It sounds like the backlighting is showing through on those darker scenes in that case, so you may need to look at TV's that use a different backlight source to keep that from being a frustration. Unfortunately it does sound like you may need to check other manufacturers to try to locate a model that shows the dark scenes more uniformly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem, I wiped the screen with a soft towel and the cloud is now completely gone.
