“In one description it says the stand will hold a maximum 250 lbs then in another section it says the top holds 75 lbs, will this hold an 85" TV (75" wide) at 96 lbs? the feet of the TV's stand are 44 1/2" apart”

Don’t buy. It’s cheap and the “wood” peels right off

Hi Christy, Our apologies. Unfortunately, this TV stand won't accommodate a 96 LBS TV. When this TV stand is assembled, the correct weight capacity of the top panel is 75 LBS. The shelves (behind the doors) have a weight capacity of 30 LBS. We'll get this listing updated with the correct information. Again, we're very sorry!
