Only printers that are web-enabled or have a regular computer hooked up to them. I have an HP printer/scanner that I use via google cloud printing. Ironically, it is a more reliable way to use the printer than my home wifi network as I cannot assign the printer a static IP (router limitations). I end up printing using the cloud from all my devices including my windows based laptops.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need either an ePrint or cloud-ready printer. You can;t use just any printer because nobody makes printer drivers for chromebooks. They aren't very expensive. I bought a cloud-ready brother printer for $60 and it works fine. Basically, you buy one of these printers and follow the instructions to connect it to your wireless router. Then you print out the ip address and type it into the search bar on the chromebook. It will then ask if you want to add it as your printer. Another tip- buy your ink in refilled cartridges from ebay or amazon. It is soooo much cheaper. Besides, these printers will also allow you to print from your smartphone and tablet as well. You can be sitting in a coffee shop, press print, and it will be waiting in the tray when you get home.
