If the games are browser based then this would work perfectly. If the game needs to be installed for Windows/Mac then this won't work. Netflix and youtube would be fine. For the price this is a great buy.

Not sure what type of games your son would use it for but if it's basic internet games, works great (I've even used it for that). I have a MacBook and PC and the Chromebook is just as good if not better.
