Please try again later.If you replace the built-in Chrome OS with a linux OS, which I use GalliumOS braswell on mine, the disk shows up as /dev/mmcblk0 , as opposed to /dev/sda .Some operating system installers (which are operating systems themselves) don't have the driver for emmc/mmc on this particular motherboard of the chromebook. So, you need to try harder to find a suitable linux OS. GalliumOS is recommended. All in all, the difference is for computer industry professionals/students. Most people don't see the difference.
