I bought one of those Acer monitors (SA242Y) yesterday. I STILL can't put the frickin' stand together! Short story: no stand, unusable monitor. The so-called instructions don't help, either. I'm taking the stand back to where I bought it and see if they can put it together. If they can't, then I'm taking the whole thing back and demanding a refund.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just snapped my together and heard a distinctive click. It sits solidly. Check for any debris inside the neck -- perhaps a piece of packing material or Styrofoam is stuck inside preventing it from fitting together?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.same problam . it's shaking though I use carefully. it's not fully fixed
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You must push the "neck" of the stand into the receptacle of the monitor with a medium amount of force. It snaps into place but you may not hear it click. Then just lower the monitor onto the oval stand. No tools required.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you need a fork or something to pull the TAB on the bottom of imain base down while you snap it, because that tab keeps a plastic part from locking in. then you should be able to push it down enough to rotate it into position. Also align the single DOT . on the stand with the line on the neck, once you turn it left, that line on the neck should match up with the double dots on the base
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes!!!! Same problem. Just purchased a SA242Y/ SB242Y stand and cannot connect the standi to the oval piece on the bottom. It won't snap in or turn into place. I've spent an hour or so on it. Taking it back to get something else. This is ridiculous. The instructions are worthless. What a sad waste of time and too bad, as the monitor is supposed to be a good one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check to make sure that the largest part of the oval is in the front. It stands perfect then.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn't have a problem putting the monitor on the stand holder at all. Maybe this customer had the stand base turned the wrong way.The Monitor snap right into the stand base very, very easy for me..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.had to use a little more force to get the stand on. worked with it about 30 min.
