This is the perfect reason to get this bad boy. It is great for surfing because it has a 1080p screen for crisp clear viewing. This is also a high power gaming computer as well. You will not be sorry to get this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can do all the things you plan on doing with the Nitro 5. Just understand one thing. Gaming laptops are't very light. This one clocks in at over 5 lbs. So you may want to take that into consideration.

You can use this computer to surf the web, view photos, and connect to a wireless printer. You will need to a wireless network, of some kind, in order to surf the web without a wired connection. The printer could be connected to your wireless network or you could connect over bluetooth. It depends on your printer. My Acer Nitro 5 is connected wirelessly to my network, the internet, and my printer. If you are unsure of how to setup a wireless network, connect your laptop, or connect wirelessly to your printer, then I you will want to speak with your local Best Buy Geek Squad representative. They should be able to get you going. Hope this helps!

Though the fan can get a bit loud when it gets boosted by the NitroSense software when it detects a heavy load on the processor. I play Space Engineers on mine a lot (it recommends a processor which runs at 3 GHz, the AMD processor runs at 2 GHz without overclocking) and it runs at around 60-90 FPS. The battery could be a little bigger to run on unplugged, but I read up and the battery size is regulation for airplane travel so you can bring it on an airplane if you need to. I personally would recommend upgrading the RAM to at least 16 GB though if you are planning on doing a lot of multitasking on-the-go. If you plan on going that route I'd recommend a set of G.Skill SO-DIMM DDR4 RAM or equivalent. As for accessories, I have the Logitech G602 wireless gaming mouse and Logitech G933 gaming headset and they work great with the laptop and I highly recommend both. Nice part about the laptop is it has two "upgrade" panels on the bottom of the machine where you can easily open it up to upgrade the hard drive and RAM, though there's not a need to upgrade the hard drive unless you're planning on having a lot of games installed or a lot of files on the machine (I currently have 44 games installed and also have a lot of video files, music, and other documents on my machine and have 115 GB available on my hard drive), I would however recommend getting an external hard drive to keep any or all video files or documents that you rarely access. I also recommend getting a monitor for to use with the laptop to have a secondary display to play your games on. Although the display on the laptop has some great picture quality with the integrated Radeon Vega 8 graphics in the processor and a great dedicated graphics card, some games won't run on the AMD Radeon RX 560X without an external monitor due to the default settings in Windows (such as Minecraft). Other than what I said above, I highly recommend this laptop.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Are you seriously asking if a budget gaming laptop can play games and surf the web, look at pictures?? Long story short, even a chrome book with a Intel Atom cpu can do that. In this modern computing world any computer can connect to a printer if it has a usb port or if the printer has a wireless connection on a network. I have owned this laptop for almost 11 months and for 10 of those month's it's been my daily driver computer for both casual usage and playing games like skyrim all at full HD. It's 4 core 8 thread cpu and discrete graphics chip power it a long way. Has room for a m.2 ssd for future expand-ability, comes pre loaded with a 1tb hdd (took mine out for another SSD) and been enjoying it.
