Q: QuestionWhen the resolution is set to 1440p ultrawide via HDMI, the maximum refresh rate I get is 60. If I try to set it higher, the resolution is set to 1080p wide. I thought HDMI 2.0 was supposed to support 1440p 144hz. Could I buy a newer HDMI cable to fix it?

While HDMI 2.0 is capable of supporting 1440p at 144Hz, the maximum achievable refresh rate for ultrawide 1440p (3440x1440) may be limited to around 100Hz due to the increased pixel count. • A:Answer Yes, however on HDMI you will only be able to go up to 100hz, and at a locked 16:9 aspect ratio giving a large vertical bar on the left and right. I would suggest not pairing this console with any ultrawide unless you use a PC as a primary device with occasional Xbox use.
